[00:00:00] Aggie: Hey there, this is the Beauty and the Brand podcast, and I'm your host, Aggie Burnett. I'm an award winning beauty brand founder turned beauty brand consultant and coach. I'm also a boy mom, Aquarius with a Virgo moon, and a proud New Yorker. When I started my fragrance company alongside my husband, he Mixing concoctions in our 300 square foot New York City apartment.
[00:00:22] Aggie: I never imagined that within two years, we'd be sold in over 300 Sephora doors, have our own brick and mortar in Brooklyn and be featured in the media like Entrepreneur, InStyle and People Magazine. But I also remember how hard it was to get a retailer to take a chance on our budding brand. Getting hundreds of rejections while figuring out how to bootstrap our business baby in order to get it and keep it off the ground.
[00:00:48] Aggie: This podcast is about that. The beauty industry, entrepreneurship, and most importantly, it's about pulling back the curtain to show what it really takes to launch, grow, and scale a beauty brand. You could expect founder and industry expert interviews, along with discussions on trends, growth strategies, and an end to end.
[00:01:06] Aggie: Insider point of view of the industry each week. I started this podcast because back when I threw all our wedding money into starting a beauty business, I had no idea what I was doing. And I could have really used a guide in my corner, someone who understood what I was going through and gave me nuggets of wisdom and encouragement to keep going.
[00:01:26] Aggie: Something to really remind me. I wasn't alone on this crazy journey called entrepreneurship. I hope that in listening to this podcast, it inspires you to build and grow a beauty brand with joy and with purpose. Please subscribe and review. I'd love to hear from you.
