[00:01:11] Google oh that's going to suck now I'm GNA have to learn other stuff too however however uhuh look at all those display ads and I they basically said they going to sell crime uh [Music] um aren't like half these browsers like third party browsers running off of chrome yes chromium so the chromium is like the core functionality of chrome um the thing is and there's a post that I made inside our slack Channel and I'll pull this up because it's not all doom and gloom believe it or not Bloom I've heard that if you have lots of money in the United States generally speaking everything usually works out yes true so judge meta also found Google maintain an illegal Monopoly in the search text ads Market charging more than a reasonable competitive price for ads while degrading their quality no to remedy that the government is proposed that Google give advertisers more transparency and control under the

[00:02:34] proposal Google would have to give advertisers more insight into their ad performance and cost and give them more options in how their ads are targeted Google would also have to let advertisers export their search text ad data making it easier to switch to Rivals so other so I want to add a piece here maybe you're getting there there was also conversation and I think there's something similar going on with is it do are they calling it the display network is it the Display Network because regardless they still have um a monopoly over the Display Network that was initially double click and all over the website essentially they're also controlling that market it's the display network is essentially any website that has entered into the AdSense program yeah which is most well that it is it is well many it is it is most because um probably the enumeration is the best amongst all the different ad

[00:03:39] networks now there are lots of other AD networks out there that you can use yeah there way more complex to set up but there are still there is still the ability to run them in there the thing with AdSense is it's just a matter of putting script inside your your site and then m running plugins it's really really simple to set up so that's that's that's the the the whilst they might theoretically have a monopoly on the AdSense Network or the Display Network they don't own the placement yeah so I was just going to say though the issue that I had heard is that they're still on both sides of that equation so um because of to the ad that they're serving yeah and so because of that that's another thing that could be broken up and um you you know I don't think we have rigorous journalism here someone to fact check me but from what I know I think there's something very similar with the Display Network and

[00:04:37] they said the same thing that it's gonna result in more transparency being needed and um more things so you think about pmax now and all we do is complain about pmax does this mean that we might get to resort to more broken up things does this mean the end of pmax maybe because um they might not have that smooth connection if they have to break everything up true or they just might give you more control over it and the toggles that we're we want we might get access to all of that because they do have it all in the back end all the information Google reps have all of it we don't yeah and that's the thing and we we've all we've all spoken about this and even in the Mastermind everyone speaks about this is um Google Google knows of all this click fraud they know there's click fraud inside the Display Network and inside YouTube and they they don't particularly care they they they give the impression that

[00:05:37] they oh yes we we are combating click fraud but at the end of the day they're still making money if it's illegal you're saying that uh if you don't know about the specific script that can exclude apps um the fact that you have to go in and individually click things yeah so that's another that's actually we'll drop that in the in the uh the link that we whenever running display we drop this uh exclude all apps inside there so it's otherwise if you're running in display or you're doing Dr marketing your ads just showing on mobile apps and tablets and things like that um just going on to that too and that's especially when we were looking at Le gen clients we just don't use we we just haven't been using performance Max Legion because of that problem yeah yeah it's a rarity when someone says I've gotten it to work and you're like really well the only way that it can sort of be effective is if your lead gen form has

[00:06:37] like 50,000 steps so that Bots find it difficult to get to the end of the form submission um and like I've got a client that I'm running pmax Le gen on and it's it's okay but there's a tool that we've been testing and I I don't particularly want to give away how it works but it's working quite well actually and as you guys I was talking with one of my uh clients they are in an industry that is very very competitive and and the clicks are very very high to the extent that their cpcs and Sears had gone up to like nearly $300 a click now do you not want to give it away because you want to get an affiliate link and get some dollars account oh okay well the thing with the thing with uh that accusations yeah the thing the thing oh look at the end of the day it's a to called polygraph there click SE and all these but they weren supposed to give it away well I don't want I'm not going to explain how the technology works because

[00:07:45] then the the the Bots will work out Oh They'll reverse engineer it and they might block it but at the end of the day they've developed a a protocol or a system that is able to identify Bots and and then stop them from clicking so the pro the the fraud detection tools that used to exist like will still that is still exist like click and can't remember any off the top of my head I feel like click it's just like click you need to know click that's like it that's the only one people yeah essentially that any other ones don't identifies an IP address and it goes oh that IP is bad we'll add that as a negative and they use that scripts and rules the problem is most of these Bots are using proxy farms and rotating prox and IP addresses so it's useless like and then and then you've got to make a submission towards the network that you're advertising saying I got all these fake clicks and then you got to hope that they give you

[00:08:40] a refund ideally what you want to do is identify by the browser the the footprint of who's viewing and then stop them from taking any action on your content that way you're going to stop the click so that's the Holy Grail of of fraud detection and if we can stop Bots from making a click we can uh stop Bots from taking over the world yeah that's it that is Kobe tidbit of the day thank you Kobe Glenn says everything intelligent I just got to get a few quips in there three experts One mic and a million views bringing you the news you can really use from Pakistan Canada to aussy land we connect the world with the master plan [Music] [Applause] so plug in subscribe don't miss the show curry cheese and veggie might let the knowledge flow Google ad secrets we unveil and write every week we're live come join the flight
