Speaker [00:00:23] That's true

Speaker [00:00:25] Origin story

Speaker [00:00:26] We'll make a movie about that one day

Speaker [00:01:02] Come on, come on

Speaker [00:01:03] Odd days

Speaker [00:01:06] Dave,

Speaker [00:01:11] uh, somebody on Facebook, if you're on Facebook, we can't see who

Speaker [00:01:15] you are because Facebook sucks

Speaker [00:01:17] Facebook user says my dudes

Speaker [00:01:19] Yeah

Speaker [00:01:20] He's come to you to YouTube where we will love you sounded weird

Speaker [00:01:26] I was going to say all right

Speaker [00:01:28] I don't know when you're all expecting

Speaker [00:01:30] It's your tubes policy?

Speaker [00:01:32] Um, Ryan says happy Friday, gentlemen, how classy Brian?

Speaker [00:01:36] Uh, all right, Peter kicking us off, right?

Speaker [00:01:39] Good job, Peter

Speaker [00:01:39] What'd you start using performance max on a new account, or start with the shopping

Speaker [00:01:43] campaigns and then later switch to Pemex

Speaker [00:01:44] The account sells asleep vitamin with seventy-five dollars

Speaker [00:01:47] AOB

Speaker [00:01:49] You can absolutely launch P max, but if it's a brand new account, here's

Speaker [00:01:52] what I would say is a, is a good idea

Speaker [00:01:54] Launch a search, a a standard shopping, a PMs

Speaker [00:02:02] A competitor, a YouTube remarketing and a brand campaign on a smaller budget

Speaker [00:02:09] First performance max, normally small budget, a hundred dollars, $250 a day

Speaker [00:02:15] If you can afford that, that much, um, here's, there's two methods

Speaker [00:02:20] You need our launch PMX and see some really good instantaneous success, or

Speaker [00:02:24] it could take, you know, six weeks to see, to start to really rock and roll

Speaker [00:02:28] It's not necessarily what Google, um, campaign is going to start

Speaker [00:02:34] off the best it's really about is your product desirable

Speaker [00:02:36] And is there a lot of traffic that's looking forward and are you priced

Speaker [00:02:39] competitively enough for it to convert?

Speaker [00:02:40] Um, so think about the human element of this

Speaker [00:02:44] What I mean by that is, think about how a person is going to buy this

Speaker [00:02:47] If it's a well-established

Speaker [00:02:50] Like we sell rakes, you know, that's well established people know

Speaker [00:02:54] what a rake is and run the needs

Speaker [00:02:55] A rank is going to buy a rake if you have a good price and a quality product,

Speaker [00:02:58] whether you're on PMX or even now

Speaker [00:03:00] But if you want it to say, I'm not sure if this is well-known,

Speaker [00:03:05] I'm not sure people are buying it

Speaker [00:03:07] I'm not sure if there's a lot of inbound search traffic or if this

Speaker [00:03:09] needs to be more of an established industry, um, or it needs to be an

Speaker [00:03:13] industry that you have to establish

Speaker [00:03:16] Those are the questions you have to ask yourself first, before you

Speaker [00:03:18] say, okay, now what campaign type

Speaker [00:03:20] So in all of those aside, yes, you can launch performance, Maxim

Speaker [00:03:24] have great instantaneous success

Speaker [00:03:26] We've done it many, many, many times

Speaker [00:03:28] We've also had times, probably 20, 30% of the time where you launched

Speaker [00:03:31] PMX campaign and then you need to start some supplementary campaigns

Speaker [00:03:33] In addition, Um, and start with the lowest hanging fruit, um, except for smart jump

Speaker [00:03:38] You can't launch smart shopping right now with the Mexico's new

Speaker [00:03:40] messages take priority and that smart shopping goes away next month

Speaker [00:03:43] So don't do that, but you could launch a standard shopping and a DSA

Speaker [00:03:47] and a search campaign in addition to your performance max campaign

Speaker [00:03:50] and see what ends up happening

Speaker [00:03:53] A lot of times, what will happen is performance

Speaker [00:03:54] Max may be going after a different audience than your search network, but

Speaker [00:03:57] once your search network starts to kick up, then it starts to whittle down your

Speaker [00:04:01] performance back, starts to lift up again

Speaker [00:04:03] It's always a big kind of, you know, guessing game, uh, by is

Speaker [00:04:08] Google knowing your audience

Speaker [00:04:10] And before you even launch BMX, do tell Google your audience, make

Speaker [00:04:14] sure that you have a optimized feed

Speaker [00:04:16] Make sure your website has a lot of good content on it

Speaker [00:04:18] Made sure it's built out

Speaker [00:04:20] Well, if you launch a PMX campaign and you give Google your website, and

Speaker [00:04:24] there's a picture of your product on there, and pretty much nothing else,

Speaker [00:04:26] the max will never work your search may, but if you have a really well-built

Speaker [00:04:32] And you launch performance max, and then you launched a search campaign

Speaker [00:04:35] Your performance max could crush it before your search campaign, because

Speaker [00:04:38] before, as max says, ah, I see exactly what you have on your site

Speaker [00:04:41] It's well indexed

Speaker [00:04:42] I can understand and read everything that's on the site

Speaker [00:04:44] And I found a good audience on YouTube with built-in remarketing

Speaker [00:04:48] plus shopping, dynamic remarketing

Speaker [00:04:51] It's always that dependent

Speaker [00:04:51] So what I would start is going to be dependent upon, is it an

Speaker [00:04:55] established product with competitive pricing that is easily purchased

Speaker [00:05:00] and with a shorter sales cycle?

Speaker [00:05:02] And then do I have a really well built out website?

Speaker [00:05:04] Yeah, I launched Remax initially and probably put that as 50% of the budget

Speaker [00:05:08] I leave the other 50% to at least DSA amount search and, you know, any sort

Speaker [00:05:13] of remarketing one or in addition to it, I have three things to say

Speaker [00:05:17] First one is, I feel like you dropped a fricking masterclass

Speaker [00:05:20] of a value bomb there

Speaker [00:05:23] Whenever you're going to launch a new campaign

Speaker [00:05:25] The question is, is, does Google already know who your customer is?

Speaker [00:05:30] Do we need to teach Google who the customers and by the way, teaching Google

Speaker [00:05:34] who the customer is, sometimes isn't hard

Speaker [00:05:36] It's like, oh, teachers by chalk

Speaker [00:05:39] Okay

Speaker [00:05:39] I know where teachers are

Speaker [00:05:40] Let's go get more teachers, but sometimes Google knows, oh yeah

Speaker [00:05:44] These PE teachers by chalk

Speaker [00:05:45] So, and, and in Google's mind, by the way, that becomes its

Speaker [00:05:48] own audience, Chuck buyers

Speaker [00:05:50] So Google knows who all the truck buyers are, but it might also find out that

Speaker [00:05:53] yeah, teachers by chalk toddlers, by chalk crime scene investigators by chalk,

Speaker [00:05:57] and you can start to teach Google who these are chalkboard their teachers

Speaker [00:06:01] Exactly

Speaker [00:06:01] Yeah

Speaker [00:06:02] But, but it's, it's a really important question to ask yourself

Speaker [00:06:05] on the outset, because if Google knows who your audience is, you're

Speaker [00:06:07] going straight bottom of the funnel

Speaker [00:06:09] If it doesn't know who your audience is, now we need to

Speaker [00:06:11] teach Google who the audience is

Speaker [00:06:12] And that's an entirely different concept

Speaker [00:06:14] I'll give you a good example

Speaker [00:06:16] And this is, this is a perfect, perfect example

Speaker [00:06:20] There's a client, uh, that we have

Speaker [00:06:22] I'll just say their name

Speaker [00:06:23] Cause it's a, it's an amazing product

Speaker [00:06:24] I'm just going to tell a good story called the kitchen sink

Speaker [00:06:27] It is a trailer kit

Speaker [00:06:29] Um, uh assessory and so it slides into the back of your truck and it has

Speaker [00:06:35] stadium quality seating, built Dade with cup holders, foldable chairs

Speaker [00:06:38] You can customize it with a company logo

Speaker [00:06:41] It is so cool

Speaker [00:06:43] So fishermen people that ski then tailgate

Speaker [00:06:47] Exactly

Speaker [00:06:48] All of those are audiences smart, shopping worked

Speaker [00:06:51] It was, it was selling now

Speaker [00:06:53] Not that much

Speaker [00:06:53] We only had like a, I think a thousand dollar a month budget, but it was

Speaker [00:06:55] sell like one to three per month

Speaker [00:06:57] Cool

Speaker [00:06:57] So a thousand bucks and these were thousand dollar products

Speaker [00:07:00] So we had a good row as, so the problem, the reason why smart shopping work though,

Speaker [00:07:05] is because we earn a click and then we just beat the crap out of these people

Speaker [00:07:08] with remarketing until they're like, okay

Speaker [00:07:09] Yes, this is cool

Speaker [00:07:10] I'm going to buy it now

Speaker [00:07:11] Like it was a big, expensive purchase decision because Hey, I know anyone

Speaker [00:07:14] It was B it's a thousand bucks

Speaker [00:07:16] See, it's gonna take me a while to buy performance facts

Speaker [00:07:20] Didn't work at all for us did not work

Speaker [00:07:24] Because it was doing inbound search traffic and it was doing

Speaker [00:07:28] some shopping traffic, but it wasn't focusing on remarketing

Speaker [00:07:31] So it's like, Hey, do you want this $800 seat really quick?

Speaker [00:07:34] No, I'm the next one

Speaker [00:07:35] Hey, do you want me to hear Darcy?

Speaker [00:07:37] No

Speaker [00:07:38] You thought it was cool

Speaker [00:07:38] Yeah

Speaker [00:07:39] Do you wanna buy it and not really under the next one?

Speaker [00:07:41] So it was trying to get too much new traffic where smart shopping

Speaker [00:07:44] was remarketing old traffic and beat them over the head with it

Speaker [00:07:47] So we actually made a pivot

Speaker [00:07:48] We stopped performance mix and we went pure YouTube only YouTube

Speaker [00:07:53] The reason why is when we looked inside of the performance max campaign, the, um,

Speaker [00:07:57] and this is actually a, what's funny is, um, uh, Nick over at tier 11, he was on

Speaker [00:08:02] the, if you have ever watched perpetual traffic podcast, nicotine 11, and, uh, he

Speaker [00:08:05] dropped a nice, what they call value bomb

Speaker [00:08:07] He says, look at your average cost per view

Speaker [00:08:09] And then your view is, and that's going to tell you how much money that

Speaker [00:08:11] Pemex campaign is spending on YouTube

Speaker [00:08:13] Um, I use that same scenario in this scenario last week, uh, to launch the, the

Speaker [00:08:19] YouTube campaigns because they saw that instead of forced max, the view rate was

Speaker [00:08:22] like 51%, which means 51% of people who were watching these ads are not skipping

Speaker [00:08:26] Right?

Speaker [00:08:27] So these people love this stuff on YouTube and I'm getting a 0.0

Speaker [00:08:32] Oh no, sorry

Speaker [00:08:33] 0.05 cost per view

Speaker [00:08:35] It was a half a penny per view, perfect

Speaker [00:08:38] Thousand bucks a month on just establishing an industry

Speaker [00:08:41] I'm going there first now, now, first of all, I'm going there now

Speaker [00:08:43] Um, and so that's what we found out

Speaker [00:08:45] No, should we have launch performance max?

Speaker [00:08:48] No

Speaker [00:08:49] Logically it made a whole of access established industry and

Speaker [00:08:52] all channels to an audience

Speaker [00:08:53] Yes

Speaker [00:08:54] The problem was the, the, the, um, how P max works was inefficient because if it

Speaker [00:09:01] was, if it was established century where people bought, because it was awesome

Speaker [00:09:04] Yeah

Speaker [00:09:04] If this product was 200 bucks, it would arrange a rain sales because

Speaker [00:09:08] it was a thousand dollar accessory that you may use three times

Speaker [00:09:11] It took a while for, to find those people

Speaker [00:09:12] So that's a great example of, should we have launched it

Speaker [00:09:15] made sense just didn't pan out

Speaker [00:09:17] You've never sounded older to me than when you said what they call a value bomb

Speaker [00:09:29] They have whippersnappers, they call it, uh, uh, boom, boom

Speaker [00:09:36] That was awesome

Speaker [00:09:39] It's a gift grenade

Speaker [00:09:43] I could world war two

Speaker [00:09:44] We used to throw those up

Speaker [00:09:45] Now you guys just give away, uh, Kayden said something

Speaker [00:09:49] I was talking to him right before this call, by the way, dude, I love that guy

Speaker [00:09:52] Like she's fricking just so smart and so thoughtful

Speaker [00:09:56] He said something that was really interesting to me

Speaker [00:09:58] And it relates to the answer that you just gave Peter here

Speaker [00:10:01] Um, Kayden goes, Kim contends that if you had three John rans

Speaker [00:10:07] working on one account for

Speaker [00:10:10] Three, John could be performance max

Speaker [00:10:12] If the three John rains didn't have performance max and they were

Speaker [00:10:15] segmenting by different accounts, different audiences, whatever

Speaker [00:10:17] Right now, manual intervention could still beat performance max

Speaker [00:10:22] That's his opinion

Speaker [00:10:23] Yeah, I would, I would actually, I would agree

Speaker [00:10:26] Um, no matter in that scenario, the three drum rands will be working on

Speaker [00:10:31] account with 10 times the budget in order for that same scenario to take place

Speaker [00:10:37] Y so I guess the question there becomes, even though it's 10 times, this is

Speaker [00:10:42] the budget, and I imagine that's just because you would need the data to learn

Speaker [00:10:45] Well, I would also have to have enough information on each channel

Speaker [00:10:49] individually to match the data that I would receive with performance mix cause

Speaker [00:10:53] performance, Mexican cross pollinate

Speaker [00:10:54] But if you had 10 times the budget, if performance was the same or better

Speaker [00:11:00] Not a wash, but I guess fine is what I'm saying

Speaker [00:11:02] It would be, even, I would say is like, if you had a hundred dollars a day, I

Speaker [00:11:05] can do what performance max could do on a hundred dollars a day with a thousand

Speaker [00:11:08] dollars a day, but I'd have to break it up by a hundred dollars per, per channel

Speaker [00:11:11] Like I did a hundred dollars into DSA, then search the YouTube to GSP, then

Speaker [00:11:15] search then shopping and then just, you know, remarketing on YouTube,

Speaker [00:11:18] remarketing on display remarketing on discover, like I'd have to, I'd have

Speaker [00:11:21] to manually intervention and make sure that that all is all targeting

Speaker [00:11:24] the same audience as BMX does

Speaker [00:11:26] It would be as efficient

Speaker [00:11:27] I would just need more budget

Speaker [00:11:28] And I think that's the, the cost benefit of performance

Speaker [00:11:31] Max is you can test all those, those channels with a lot less

Speaker [00:11:34] than what you would do, trying to test those individually

Speaker [00:11:36] So here's, what's really funny is with 10 times the budget you're as smart

Speaker [00:11:40] as the world's smartest computer

Speaker [00:11:41] Hey

Speaker [00:11:42] Yeah, pretty much

Speaker [00:11:44] Um, it's pretty cool

Speaker [00:11:46] Uh, Ryan, we're creating a PMX campaign to replace multiple

Speaker [00:11:49] different smart campaigns

Speaker [00:11:50] How much should this BMX campaign spend as a percentage of the existing campaigns?

Speaker [00:11:54] Just start while they are all enabled the same exact daily ads

Speaker [00:11:59] Now that is going to overspend probably by about 30% though

Speaker [00:12:04] So, I mean, it's just, for example, if you had five, $100 smart campaigns,

Speaker [00:12:07] you have to launch one, 500 RPMX

Speaker [00:12:09] They have to be equal

Speaker [00:12:12] Most of the time it's going to have two campaigns

Speaker [00:12:17] What are those smart campaigns?

Speaker [00:12:18] MP, max enter an auction for one person

Speaker [00:12:20] So it's an either or scenario

Speaker [00:12:22] So if you're running at both $500, only one gets to win

Speaker [00:12:26] So essentially you're going to cost is going to cost the same, where

Speaker [00:12:30] there's going to be overspend is when performance max says, ah, I want Casa

Speaker [00:12:35] and smart shopping says, no, I want

Speaker [00:12:37] And smart shopping as she has been a performance P will say, okay, I

Speaker [00:12:41] either will just not go up to Casa or I'll go up to someone else

Speaker [00:12:45] And that, or I'll go up to someone else is about happening 20% of the time

Speaker [00:12:49] But the problem is you can't launch a $300 per day, uh, performance max and buy

Speaker [00:12:55] $100 day smart shopping at the same time, because we've had a few scenarios where

Speaker [00:12:59] that $300 performance max campaign sucks up all the traffic, but only spends 300,

Speaker [00:13:06] not the 500 that it was going to spend

Speaker [00:13:08] So either scenario can take place and it's solely down to what

Speaker [00:13:12] campaign Google chooses to enter into the auction for your audience

Speaker [00:13:16] Peter asks, do you think a long sales page may perform as well as a landing

Speaker [00:13:20] page instead of a Shopify product page?

Speaker [00:13:22] Yeah, as actually, especially in BMX, we have a client that does, um,

Speaker [00:13:26] that launched a landing page without, oh, end up PMX campaign without a

Speaker [00:13:32] And used no URL, expansion and performance max to that landing page and slightly beat

Speaker [00:13:38] their, uh, their PMX campaign with a feed

Speaker [00:13:43] So they're long form landing page without shopping was beating the

Speaker [00:13:46] shopping campaign with a product page

Speaker [00:13:48] So you absolutely can do that

Speaker [00:13:51] Um, my question though, and the problem is, is this was such a cool product and

Speaker [00:13:56] the landing page was so well done that if I was coming to the site first and I saw

Speaker [00:14:00] the product and like a few images and a description versus this amazing landing

Speaker [00:14:03] page with video and testimonials and 20 different pictures and special offers

Speaker [00:14:08] And I mean, just really, really well built out page

Speaker [00:14:10] It probably costs you $10,000 to build

Speaker [00:14:12] Um, so there's constantly things isn't really there, but when I look

Speaker [00:14:16] at those two, I'm like, yeah, I would actually buy it from that page instead

Speaker [00:14:21] And yeah, it's true

Speaker [00:14:22] It's absolutely true

Speaker [00:14:23] Uh, you don't just because they didn't use a shopping ad doesn't mean

Speaker [00:14:25] that pages that'd be less effective

Speaker [00:14:27] So when PMX is using shopping placements and you have a Shopify product page and

Speaker [00:14:33] you have a long gated landing pages, it always going to go to the product page

Speaker [00:14:37] Nope

Speaker [00:14:37] Your Shopify connection to Google merchant center is something called

Speaker [00:14:40] content on API and content on API

Speaker [00:14:43] It, that is the, the, the conduit to which you tell merchant center,

Speaker [00:14:48] what page to send that traffic to

Speaker [00:14:50] So if you build a product page and you send your feed into Google merchant

Speaker [00:14:54] center, merchant center says, okay, so the product lives on that page

Speaker [00:14:57] They're like, no, no, no

Speaker [00:14:58] It lives on that page

Speaker [00:14:59] Like I, the feed says to go

Speaker [00:15:01] So you can use a tool like if you watch and you can send into Debby, watch your

Speaker [00:15:06] feed, change the URL of where that product lives before getting to merchant center

Speaker [00:15:12] And then merchant center will tell Google ads

Speaker [00:15:14] When you launch this product, this product lives on this page here

Speaker [00:15:17] That's the P that's the page you change

Speaker [00:15:19] That's your long form landing page

Speaker [00:15:21] You just have to make sure that it functions just like a regular

Speaker [00:15:23] product page, where there's an add the card to the full sales checkout

Speaker [00:15:27] Otherwise we get suspended for a broken checkout, but with final Ural

Speaker [00:15:31] expansion with Pemex do itself or no, um, no, uh, not for shopping, shopping

Speaker [00:15:37] We won't use actually a URL expansion

Speaker [00:15:39] That's I feel like that's such a waste

Speaker [00:15:42] It makes so much sense to you because if you can't send a shopping ad to a

Speaker [00:15:44] non-starter to know when they're going to, yeah, you could kind of like,

Speaker [00:15:47] Hey, I'd love to buy this product

Speaker [00:15:48] Then all of a sudden you arrive to the about us

Speaker [00:15:49] You're like, what the hell?

Speaker [00:15:50] Like

Speaker [00:15:54] Uh, arms of Annie says, oh, lottos, ah, Google translate that Brenda says all

Speaker [00:16:02] our Dave, how did we make Dave famous?

Speaker [00:16:03] This is our show, Dave

Speaker [00:16:05] Hey, he slowly infiltrating us

Speaker [00:16:07] Yeah

Speaker [00:16:07] Jason, James, what's up?

Speaker [00:16:08] Jason

Speaker [00:16:09] Nicholas's here

Speaker [00:16:10] Arms of Andy's asks

Speaker [00:16:11] Here we go

Speaker [00:16:13] Uh, how can we pull the listing group metrics in conversions, conversion

Speaker [00:16:16] value spend through Google ads, API in-house without switching to

Speaker [00:16:20] north beam, the cost is too high

Speaker [00:16:23] Yes

Speaker [00:16:23] Unfortunately there is no way yet

Speaker [00:16:25] Even Google data studio

Speaker [00:16:28] Won't pull that in

Speaker [00:16:29] Um, well built a functionality and then forgot to build the rest of it

Speaker [00:16:33] Um, we've just got conversion, conversion value and spend inside of

Speaker [00:16:37] our listing groups like last week

Speaker [00:16:39] Uh, It was all conversions, all conversion value in all conversion

Speaker [00:16:43] rates and all conversion

Speaker [00:16:44] Like it was, it was terrible

Speaker [00:16:46] Um, so we just got the ability even like see the actual commercials

Speaker [00:16:49] last week without turning off all of our conversion actions

Speaker [00:16:51] Um, but there is no way to use any sort of third-party, uh, even really out

Speaker [00:16:56] of this, uh, to even pull the listing groups nor beam still can't do that

Speaker [00:17:01] So even with the integrated API into a yeah

Speaker [00:17:05] Yeah

Speaker [00:17:05] So even Northern can't do that

Speaker [00:17:06] So there is no way yet, period

Speaker [00:17:09] Sorry

Speaker [00:17:09] Arms of Andes, Matt Nightingale's here is that Matt malicious here, Archie Jeter

Speaker [00:17:16] Archie says, what did he do?

Speaker [00:17:19] And malicious CA uh, oh, I'm sorry

Speaker [00:17:21] I thought it was a question

Speaker [00:17:23] I know she just given us a shout up

Speaker [00:17:25] Um, you says, what are the advantages and disadvantages of splitting up

Speaker [00:17:28] one product per asset group for Pemex brand only has eight products

Speaker [00:17:33] How does this affect the shopping component?

Speaker [00:17:36] Well at this elevated to the dispatch of spilling of one product per asset group

Speaker [00:17:40] Oh, I actually, I prefer that

Speaker [00:17:42] I try to do that

Speaker [00:17:43] Um, and here's what, there's only eight products

Speaker [00:17:46] I have a hard time thinking why you'd want all products in one asset group

Speaker [00:17:49] Yeah

Speaker [00:17:49] All right

Speaker [00:17:49] So here's the advantages when you are Googling keywords that are around

Speaker [00:17:53] that particular product, you're going to see a, the correct shopping ad

Speaker [00:17:57] from the listing group, and you're going to see be the proper search ad

Speaker [00:18:01] So if I'm going to use some really stupid, simple examples, red shoe,

Speaker [00:18:06] blue shoe, green shoe, if I have an asset group for red, blue and red shoe,

Speaker [00:18:09] and I haven't asked her for blue shoe and I haven't asked group for green

Speaker [00:18:12] shoe, I can front load it with my, my, uh, my signal to be people that

Speaker [00:18:17] type in red shoe in the red shoe, a group for the red shoe listed group

Speaker [00:18:19] And then obviously the same thing with blue-green and when people actually go to

Speaker [00:18:22] Google and they type that in, then they're going to see the product that they need

Speaker [00:18:26] to see because it is, um, it is from the same, uh, well actually let me do this

Speaker [00:18:32] It's going to be from the

Speaker [00:18:34] Uh, as a group

Speaker [00:18:35] So I'll, I'm gonna share my screen and real quick, before you do that, I'm

Speaker [00:18:39] going to ruin your example, but red shoe, blue group, blue suit, green shoot

Speaker [00:18:42] Those are technically product variants

Speaker [00:18:43] Would you do a different product variant for asset group?

Speaker [00:18:46] No, it was probably a variance

Speaker [00:18:47] I would keep them the same

Speaker [00:18:49] Yeah

Speaker [00:18:49] That's why I said it's gonna be a really stupid example, but this

Speaker [00:18:52] is an example he's got confused

Speaker [00:18:55] This is an example of a, of a client and, uh, it's kitsch

Speaker [00:18:59] And so what you'll see is that if I use luxury shower cap, as a quick example,

Speaker [00:19:03] this is one asset group doing this

Speaker [00:19:06] Um, I front-loaded the campaign to say anybody that types in

Speaker [00:19:10] keywords, like luxury shower cap

Speaker [00:19:12] I want to show my as a group of luxury shower caps and all the variants

Speaker [00:19:15] are in one asset group, but it's different than the bottle for beauty

Speaker [00:19:18] It's different than anything else

Speaker [00:19:20] So now I own, I own this area

Speaker [00:19:22] I own this area and I own this area and I own this area for luxury shower

Speaker [00:19:27] Okay

Speaker [00:19:27] Is that branded search ad coming from Pemex?

Speaker [00:19:30] This isn't branded actually, well, Oh, because we're not

Speaker [00:19:35] searching for the brand name

Speaker [00:19:36] I see what you're saying

Speaker [00:19:36] Right?

Speaker [00:19:36] So rephrasing is that search ad coming from Pemex?

Speaker [00:19:39] Correct?

Speaker [00:19:42] Uh, this is nevermind

Speaker [00:19:43] Sorry

Speaker [00:19:44] Keep going

Speaker [00:19:45] Nope

Speaker [00:19:45] So in my asset group, though, you have five headlines, five long

Speaker [00:19:48] headlines and five descriptions

Speaker [00:19:50] Well, if I know that I'm trying to get people to search for luxury

Speaker [00:19:52] shower caps, and I'm showing my luxury shower, cap product, and

Speaker [00:19:55] I'm showing my, uh, my ad in text

Speaker [00:19:58] If I had one asset group here, it'd be like kitsch.com

Speaker [00:20:02] We sell things for your hair

Speaker [00:20:04] Like it's not going to say luxury shower, cap, or most lip or waterproof

Speaker [00:20:08] So that's, that's where this gets gets a little bit more detailed is the

Speaker [00:20:12] advantages is you can control a shopping ad the display ad, the discover ad and

Speaker [00:20:18] the search ad for that one product

Speaker [00:20:21] What you'd have to say is if I had it all in one S group, can you have one asset

Speaker [00:20:25] group with five headlines, be descriptive enough for all eight of your speeds

Speaker [00:20:32] Uh, next up Michael Ari Gozo doesn't performance max, take away from

Speaker [00:20:36] stair shopping campaigns as well

Speaker [00:20:38] I know it definitely takes away from smart shopping campaigns

Speaker [00:20:40] No

Speaker [00:20:41] So you can actually run a status shopping and performance max campaign

Speaker [00:20:43] at the same time and they will fight, but there's no, there's no, uh,

Speaker [00:20:48] golden rule, like with smart shopping

Speaker [00:20:51] Uh, the only gold rule is if you're on smart shopping performance,

Speaker [00:20:54] max performance, max always wins

Speaker [00:20:55] But if you're on a scattered shopping and farm smacks, the ad that has the

Speaker [00:20:59] better ad rank, which was ad break, who knows it's not a real term

Speaker [00:21:05] I'm not sure, but they'll get back to us when they decide it's a, it's

Speaker [00:21:08] a, it's a fun way to say whichever one's going to perform better

Speaker [00:21:11] We'll just, we'll wait

Speaker [00:21:12] That's literally what

Speaker [00:21:15] Also from Michael, any recommended software for checking price,

Speaker [00:21:18] competitiveness per skew, catalog score 3000 skews actually, uh,

Speaker [00:21:24] could be, um, give me one second

Speaker [00:21:27] I'm going to hop into an account and I think, um, there's a, it's either a

Speaker [00:21:31] new beta or something that popped up recently that I was like, oh, what's that?

Speaker [00:21:37] We'll just announce this in the Google live too

Speaker [00:21:40] It's an in-app feature where Google will show you your competitor's best

Speaker [00:21:44] pricing for e-comm specifically

Speaker [00:21:46] Yeah

Speaker [00:21:46] And I remember I saw it

Speaker [00:21:48] I had one and I was like, oh, I gotta check that out

Speaker [00:21:50] And I didn't check it out yet

Speaker [00:21:51] So I have to look at that

Speaker [00:21:52] I've got to go live

Speaker [00:21:57] While you're looking for yours

Speaker [00:21:58] I've got something to share

Speaker [00:21:59] Yeah

Speaker [00:22:00] Let's go ahead and share that with, while I'm looking for this one

Speaker [00:22:02] All right

Speaker [00:22:02] So, uh, RA who, uh, does all of our technical documentation here at solutions

Speaker [00:22:06] eight, she's freaking brilliant

Speaker [00:22:08] She put together this, um, notes on Google marketing live, the presentation that

Speaker [00:22:12] Google did, and I, I did a video on it

Speaker [00:22:15] So you all will get, uh, access to it at some point, Dave, I know you can't

Speaker [00:22:18] see, um, dude, this is really cool

Speaker [00:22:23] The attribution insights

Speaker [00:22:24] Did you see that?

Speaker [00:22:25] Yep

Speaker [00:22:26] Um, so I'm pulling up there a little bit more

Speaker [00:22:29] Yeah

Speaker [00:22:30] All right

Speaker [00:22:30] Whose side are you on?

Speaker [00:22:32] Uh, where are the hell?

Speaker [00:22:34] There's?

Speaker [00:22:34] Uh, there was an e-comm specific

Speaker [00:22:38] Yeah, it was called like price comparison

Speaker [00:22:40] Something

Speaker [00:22:41] Yeah, there it is

Speaker [00:22:43] Bam

Speaker [00:22:44] Uh, showcase your no

Speaker [00:22:49] See competitor's strongest offers

Speaker [00:22:51] Yeah

Speaker [00:22:52] This one, I forgot exactly where it was

Speaker [00:22:53] I'll have to see if I can find it and then we'll make a video about it

Speaker [00:22:56] Um, I don't remember which account it was in

Speaker [00:23:00] I had to see if I can find that funny

Speaker [00:23:01] Yeah

Speaker [00:23:02] Somebody does DFW

Speaker [00:23:04] Cause we were talking to him for awhile and I think that we're

Speaker [00:23:06] going to do something comparative, but then they got bought

Speaker [00:23:09] And so that might've died

Speaker [00:23:13] That purchased?

Speaker [00:23:15] No, I didn't know that

Speaker [00:23:15] Yeah

Speaker [00:23:16] Interesting max vendors,

Speaker [00:23:22] any specific things to consider when starting a PMX

Speaker [00:23:24] campaign for B to C lead gen

Speaker [00:23:26] So that works in home

Speaker [00:23:27] Security has already a lot of regular campaigns

Speaker [00:23:29] Yes

Speaker [00:23:30] So, well, two things one year up to contend with the fact that

Speaker [00:23:33] PMX is going to compete with those existing regular campaigns

Speaker [00:23:37] But the other thing is Pemex is very heavy spam right now for lead

Speaker [00:23:41] generation, like super heavy, because most of the time, when you look at a

Speaker [00:23:46] search campaign, You have the ability to say, I like to target people who are

Speaker [00:23:51] in frequently in or have interested

Speaker [00:23:55] And we usually choose in and frequently and not who have interest in D P max

Speaker [00:24:01] defaults to who is interested in, and then it goes on all the channels

Speaker [00:24:06] So it's like in the United States and around YouTube, congratulations, we

Speaker [00:24:11] just found a way to target click farms

Speaker [00:24:14] So that's the bad thing

Speaker [00:24:15] Is it through its own, the default settings, you can't turn off the inability

Speaker [00:24:20] to attract or to go to a person who is interested in the United States

Speaker [00:24:23] That's also working on a click farm, essentially

Speaker [00:24:25] So the issue though is you have to make the form

Speaker [00:24:30] Extremely difficult to, to complete, um, the ones that we see work the

Speaker [00:24:33] best are the people with like 15 to 20 fields, uh, Southwest building

Speaker [00:24:37] solutions as examples, great

Speaker [00:24:38] Or the people that put them through a builder

Speaker [00:24:40] RTA is another example of that

Speaker [00:24:41] So it's working really, really great

Speaker [00:24:43] Anytime they have an account that's going through a kind of hard to

Speaker [00:24:45] complete form, um, works well

Speaker [00:24:48] Uh, we had one client that figured out a way to actually block, uh, like junk

Speaker [00:24:51] traffic that if you just like slam your hand on the keyboard and then try

Speaker [00:24:53] to hit submit, it goes to a four or four pages and hit the thank you page

Speaker [00:24:56] So that, and then we just launched a new Mexican

Speaker [00:24:58] I want that one's working well too, but it just know that

Speaker [00:25:00] you're going to be targeted

Speaker [00:25:01] Um, so it may not even be worth running it

Speaker [00:25:04] Or if you do running a very small budget, 15, $20 a day, give it

Speaker [00:25:09] like, you know, a week or two

Speaker [00:25:10] And see you're going to start to get conversions

Speaker [00:25:12] Really look at those conversions

Speaker [00:25:13] They're gonna look real and then probably are real

Speaker [00:25:16] Just, you know, there's gonna be some similarities between the spam

Speaker [00:25:18] Like it's always first name dot last name at Gmail, or like first name dot

Speaker [00:25:21] last name, then two numbers at GML

Speaker [00:25:23] Those are the things

Speaker [00:25:25] It was a study

Speaker [00:25:26] Uh, I did a video on this, started, came at York university

Speaker [00:25:30] Um, enterprises have reported that up to 70 to 90% of clicks are

Speaker [00:25:34] receiving or generated by bots

Speaker [00:25:37] Spam traffic is a way bigger problem than I ever, ever, ever thought

Speaker [00:25:43] Yeah

Speaker [00:25:43] And it's, and that's the, one of the reasons why performance mags

Speaker [00:25:46] I like it because it stops being targeted or stops targeting those, those

Speaker [00:25:52] users when they don't get a conversion and automated bidding strategy helps

Speaker [00:25:56] that if you're running out of manual CPC, you're never going to see it

Speaker [00:26:01] Like you're telling people, let's say that Bob, I want to pay only a

Speaker [00:26:03] dollar and 27 cents for that Bach

Speaker [00:26:05] Like I'm like, all right, here we go

Speaker [00:26:07] That's a funny, uh, Matt Nightingale says a peak for my brand is July and August

Speaker [00:26:15] I have a successful, smart shopping campaign running, worried to switch

Speaker [00:26:18] to Pemex before, but I'm also worried that if I don't switch it'll force

Speaker [00:26:21] me during peak, what would John do?

Speaker [00:26:24] We need bracelets printed

Speaker [00:26:26] You actually wouldn't have to change

Speaker [00:26:29] And what would Jesus do?

Speaker [00:26:30] Bracelet was calling me a man that's like the most arrogant thing I've ever said

Speaker [00:26:34] All right

Speaker [00:26:34] So,

Speaker [00:26:38] uh, here's my, my opinion

Speaker [00:26:41] Um, we actually have clients that we're not switching to performance max manually

Speaker [00:26:47] We're going to wait until the smart shopping campaign turns into performance

Speaker [00:26:51] Max, there's a risk, but the reason why we're doing that is because

Speaker [00:26:56] we started PMX and it failed and it failed for two to three weeks

Speaker [00:27:00] Um, if we don't have the time, the budget and the AOB average order value of the

Speaker [00:27:06] inventory, if the average order value is too low and you supposed to be Mexican

Speaker [00:27:10] still fails, it's a long way around as long way to get that, to move up

Speaker [00:27:14] The risk that we're doing with these clients is, and I've, I've

Speaker [00:27:18] talked to two Google at length about this a few times and

Speaker [00:27:23] I can't use it as gospel because we all know that Google is

Speaker [00:27:25] like, Hey, this should happen

Speaker [00:27:26] I was like, oh, so the risk here and the reward is if we wait for performance

Speaker [00:27:33] or for smart shopping to turn into performance, maximum one interesting

Speaker [00:27:37] thing I thought was really cool is they said, you're going to be able to opt out

Speaker [00:27:41] of the video network when it transitions

Speaker [00:27:45] That's cool

Speaker [00:27:46] Because then you are removing yourself from potential spammy traffic

Speaker [00:27:49] Um, the good news is they said, if you do not add a signal and if you do not

Speaker [00:27:56] add any other assets, performance, max will target the same four channels

Speaker [00:28:02] And I don't know what they are Google, as they just said, it's performance

Speaker [00:28:04] Max will target the same four channels

Speaker [00:28:06] Your smart shopping campaign did

Speaker [00:28:09] So essentially what I asked is, so it's just going to go from smart,

Speaker [00:28:12] shopping into performance, max, but still stay smart shopping

Speaker [00:28:15] They said, yes

Speaker [00:28:16] Now I have one person that said this like three days

Speaker [00:28:21] Is this actually going to happen while we test the PMX and there

Speaker [00:28:23] was no signs of life there

Speaker [00:28:24] So we have to try this

Speaker [00:28:25] That's the only option

Speaker [00:28:26] And I'm going from like a thousand row as campaigns with 50 sales a

Speaker [00:28:29] day into a PMX campaign that can't get over two X and five sales a day

Speaker [00:28:34] Like, and I've been running on these, our traffic campaigns for over two years

Speaker [00:28:36] I'm like, I just have to let these transitions

Speaker [00:28:39] Um, so we'll see what happens

Speaker [00:28:40] But my, my plan is for you to be, if you can launch PMX now and you can

Speaker [00:28:46] give it two to three weeks, if it fails every single time I've started

Speaker [00:28:50] the smart shopping campaigns back up, it just blows right back up

Speaker [00:28:54] And that was after 22, 23 days of testing Pemex

Speaker [00:28:57] Um, I actually have a client here that I can share screen

Speaker [00:28:58] and show what it looked like

Speaker [00:29:00] But the big issue was is because your smart shopping campaign

Speaker [00:29:05] goes so heavy and remarketing

Speaker [00:29:07] What you have to understand is that when P max launch

Speaker [00:29:11] Google's going to say, Hey, these 17 people that we're going to buy tomorrow,

Speaker [00:29:14] that I've been remarketing for for the last two weeks, I'm just going to Chuck

Speaker [00:29:17] them out the window and I'm going to go run, finds a new people on Pemex

Speaker [00:29:22] And then you're like, no, no, no remark to them

Speaker [00:29:24] Like, ah, that's PBX

Speaker [00:29:25] We don't do the same thing, smart shopping desks

Speaker [00:29:27] So that's what you'll lose your funnel of all your returning and existing and

Speaker [00:29:31] warmed up traffic goes away and you have to relearn that all through it

Speaker [00:29:35] They said to skip that, launch it as a, or let PMX turn in just all right

Speaker [00:29:40] Let's March off and turn into performance max, but then you can't touch it

Speaker [00:29:42] Like as soon as you touch it, it goes away

Speaker [00:29:45] So what I mean by that is like, you add an insight

Speaker [00:29:46] It's like, okay, cool

Speaker [00:29:47] So I have now somewhere to go around and what I was going before he gets EDS,

Speaker [00:29:50] forget all those people go off on my own

Speaker [00:29:51] So that's the big thing

Speaker [00:29:53] I'm not saying, let it transition them to start adding things

Speaker [00:29:55] You have a lead transition and then not touch it

Speaker [00:29:59] What I've been told

Speaker [00:30:00] I have zero experience

Speaker [00:30:01] Um, and just cause it hasn't happened yet

Speaker [00:30:03] So this is one way you can prepare for the most safe as effective and if a

Speaker [00:30:07] transition and it still doesn't work

Speaker [00:30:10] You have no choice

Speaker [00:30:11] You have to now build out PMX perfectly, but at least you did the safest option

Speaker [00:30:15] that was going to blow up anyway, just out of curiosity, John, wouldn't it make sense

Speaker [00:30:19] to have a PMX campaign built within its entirety with a ton of asset groups, just

Speaker [00:30:22] ready to go in case everything blows up

Speaker [00:30:25] That's why I would say build it and test it

Speaker [00:30:26] Now, if it's, if it works, it should work

Speaker [00:30:30] It will work as effectively as a really, you know, seasoned year, two

Speaker [00:30:34] years long smart shopping campaign

Speaker [00:30:36] But if it doesn't work that well, then pause it

Speaker [00:30:39] Leave smart jumping on

Speaker [00:30:40] Let it transition if it fails, turn that one back on

Speaker [00:30:44] If it succeeds, I don't know what you're gonna do, honestly, like maybe

Speaker [00:30:50] start to slowly add in new assets and new insights and or new signals

Speaker [00:30:54] I was called a signal and insight and maybe add new signals slowly

Speaker [00:30:58] I don't know

Speaker [00:30:59] Um, I'm crossing that bridge with you all at the same time

Speaker [00:31:03] That's my plan though, showing my soul

Speaker [00:31:06] This is awesome

Speaker [00:31:07] Preparing to try

Speaker [00:31:08] PMX on my arcade consoles, crushes it on YouTube and

Speaker [00:31:11] search and a little on shopping

Speaker [00:31:13] Oh, uh, keep search and YouTube running and lost P in

Speaker [00:31:18] addition to Pemex is not heavy

Speaker [00:31:20] You yet, at least not that I can see

Speaker [00:31:22] Um, and I'm again, multiplying my cost per view and my views

Speaker [00:31:26] and looking at my view rate

Speaker [00:31:27] And most of the time, it's like I'm a $2,500 a week campaign

Speaker [00:31:31] It's like 50 bucks

Speaker [00:31:32] So what's nice is if you launched cream X don't pause your search on YouTube, just

Speaker [00:31:36] lock in addition to on a smaller budget

Speaker [00:31:37] See, does it help?

Speaker [00:31:38] Uh, it'd be really interesting

Speaker [00:31:39] So very, very good idea

Speaker [00:31:42] John's about to have a conniption on this one

Speaker [00:31:43] Arms of Andes for e-comm our brand name

Speaker [00:31:46] Keyword is the only thing that appears organically in each search result on

Speaker [00:31:49] pages one through three of Google, no competitors bid on our brand name either

Speaker [00:31:53] Should we have a brand new

Speaker [00:31:55] No, you disappoint me, John

Speaker [00:32:00] We know it's funny as I, I I'm okay with seeing branded performance backs

Speaker [00:32:03] because I have a very nice use case, uh, that we'll probably wanna turn

Speaker [00:32:06] into a case study that shows how it just kept going in the right direction

Speaker [00:32:11] All of a sudden, after like two months, 80% of it's now non-brand, uh, when

Speaker [00:32:15] it was only ran from us 60 days

Speaker [00:32:17] Um, but you don't have to have a brand name

Speaker [00:32:20] If you want to run a brand campaign, run it by dollars a day, because if

Speaker [00:32:23] you lost performance, max, you're going to make yourself a target because

Speaker [00:32:26] you're going to start to get competitor Trek, which means you're for sure

Speaker [00:32:31] Bingo, but you don't need one

Speaker [00:32:34] No

Speaker [00:32:34] Dave says nobody calls it a value bomb except cars

Speaker [00:32:37] Some people call it a value bomb

Speaker [00:32:42] So he, uh, I wonder if that said

Speaker [00:32:46] How do I say your name, please?

Speaker [00:32:48] And thank you

Speaker [00:32:49] Uh, we made one Pemex campaign target, one country, 150 euros a day, maximize

Speaker [00:32:53] conversions to asset groups per category, total of 74 asset groups

Speaker [00:32:56] Good job

Speaker [00:32:57] After three weeks, the results are 3.5 conversions, but

Speaker [00:33:00] CPA went from 2 55 to $24

Speaker [00:33:05] What was the running before?

Speaker [00:33:08] Uh, he goes on to say, uh, for each product category, two asset

Speaker [00:33:14] groups with one custom audience and keywords and one with customer

Speaker [00:33:19] audience with purchase intentions

Speaker [00:33:22] Can we improve something or not?

Speaker [00:33:23] Or should we just wait if we modify images and videos or add keywords to the custom

Speaker [00:33:27] audiences, the learning phase start again

Speaker [00:33:29] Yeah

Speaker [00:33:29] So here's, here's the, the question is what were you running before to get $2?

Speaker [00:33:33] It was 24

Speaker [00:33:33] If it was more like heavy brand then yeah, that makes sense

Speaker [00:33:36] But the other thing is normally I'll launch multiple different asset groups

Speaker [00:33:41] for like a product, but I'll have one B a

Speaker [00:33:45] Which is search search intentions

Speaker [00:33:46] One search recently, one my own data and one interests demographic

Speaker [00:33:51] So right now you're kind of testing one network, which is just the search network

Speaker [00:33:55] And the other areas are probably spending a whole bunch of money, trying to target

Speaker [00:33:58] people on display YouTube PSP discovered that they don't have a target for, cause

Speaker [00:34:02] let's say that person didn't serve

Speaker [00:34:03] So who else am I going after?

Speaker [00:34:04] What are they interested in?

Speaker [00:34:05] We're like, we didn't tell you like, well, what are your own grown people look like?

Speaker [00:34:08] We didn't tell you

Speaker [00:34:09] So right now it could be that it's your, if you look at the insights tab and you

Speaker [00:34:13] look at your search categories and your search categories looks really good, it

Speaker [00:34:16] means that you need to add more targeting

Speaker [00:34:17] So you need to add in the, um, uh, your own data, its own asset group

Speaker [00:34:24] And then you ended at interest in demographic, in his own asset group

Speaker [00:34:27] So people interested in both, either in infinity or in market or customer

Speaker [00:34:31] demographic, um, demand those two

Speaker [00:34:34] So that will give you a whole rounded, uh, strategy

Speaker [00:34:37] He said he was running texts and shopping, uh, with manual CPC and automated rules

Speaker [00:34:44] Yeah, my question was, what was the search terms that you were getting?

Speaker [00:34:46] It was, was there a brand cause $2 conversions to 2,400

Speaker [00:34:50] conversions, your CPC and a $2 conversion has to be nothing crazy

Speaker [00:34:55] Yeah

Speaker [00:34:56] That's why I'm like, that's a, that's an oddity to me

Speaker [00:35:00] J uh, just launched the DSA campaign two days ago to go along with my PMX and brand

Speaker [00:35:05] campaigns, ads are approved and eligible

Speaker [00:35:07] No impressions

Speaker [00:35:08] Is it normal to take a few days before I start running DSA?

Speaker [00:35:11] Yes

Speaker [00:35:11] Everything else

Speaker [00:35:12] Oh, no

Speaker [00:35:12] Sorry

Speaker [00:35:13] DSA performance backs and YouTube

Speaker [00:35:15] Yes

Speaker [00:35:15] Uh, what DSA is doing is scanning your pages as it's pending

Speaker [00:35:19] So if you actually go into your dynamic ad target settings of your

Speaker [00:35:23] DSA campaign, you probably should see like, pending is, was what we'll say

Speaker [00:35:27] If you still see pending, you're fine

Speaker [00:35:29] What this means is it's essentially scanning your page and watching

Speaker [00:35:32] traffic at the same time

Speaker [00:35:33] And then all of a sudden you're going to see, cause it's going to

Speaker [00:35:35] say, okay, YouTube now, It's like the it's like a Mike Tyson gift

Speaker [00:35:41] Where's the sold two pigeons

Speaker [00:35:46] Uh, Michael

Speaker [00:35:50] I know it's my favorite to say hopefully my glammy, uh, gore Lomi

Speaker [00:35:58] How important is Google analytics when it comes to driving performance in Google

Speaker [00:36:01] ads, do you recommend GA for compared to the previous Google analytics property?

Speaker [00:36:04] I have very little experience in GA for honestly

Speaker [00:36:07] Um, I we're, we're working with a company to build out a GA for instance

Speaker [00:36:12] Um, we're also have a lot of our clients who have hired big agency, not big agency,

Speaker [00:36:16] big companies to build out their GA for

Speaker [00:36:20] And I have not seen a successful GA for implementation yet

Speaker [00:36:24] So it's not that I don't, uh, it's not that I haven't tried is I, I really

Speaker [00:36:30] it's it's because also I haven't tried, I have not tried to build a GA or I

Speaker [00:36:33] just keep seeing roadblocks everywhere

Speaker [00:36:36] People that are spending a lot of money and have more hours in the day than I do

Speaker [00:36:39] to dedicated to a can't figure it out

Speaker [00:36:40] So I'm kind of waiting to learn, I should say

Speaker [00:36:43] Uh, I'm very much in learning

Speaker [00:36:44] What, on this GA for the, the issue that is happening is on UA

Speaker [00:36:49] If console comes to the site twice in two days, it says a new user today

Speaker [00:36:53] and a new user yesterday and a new session, and it just counts costume

Speaker [00:36:57] Every single time GA forest says, oh, we're going to string along

Speaker [00:37:01] and not surround string together

Speaker [00:37:03] That user in, in what they call an event or a visit like this visit came back

Speaker [00:37:07] What they're seeing is that they're actually getting a replication

Speaker [00:37:09] So concent comes to site once, and then it comes to the site again, the next

Speaker [00:37:13] day, it says you have two new users that are not related to each other

Speaker [00:37:17] And they're like, well, that's, that's a duplication

Speaker [00:37:20] So we actually haven't used it for anything Google ads related because

Speaker [00:37:23] it could potentially double counter triple count or not account at all

Speaker [00:37:26] So we still use Google tag manager for everything, but in terms of driving

Speaker [00:37:30] performance in Google ads, I still

Speaker [00:37:32] UAS, uh, audience segmentation, because I could say if you've been to the

Speaker [00:37:36] site from Pinterest and you stayed longer than 10 seconds and you viewed

Speaker [00:37:39] more than two pages and they added something to the cart, I'm putting a

Speaker [00:37:42] thousand dollars a day at that person

Speaker [00:37:44] Um, but that's what I mean is I still find the segmentation in UAE

Speaker [00:37:47] for the custom audiences that you can import remarketing much better

Speaker [00:37:51] Um, in, in UAE RadReads, you, you had two ounces or one bounces

Speaker [00:37:55] I don't really care

Speaker [00:37:56] I'm excluding bouncers

Speaker [00:37:58] Um, so literally account you one times or 10 times, and you're not my audience

Speaker [00:38:02] Uh, so hopefully that makes sense

Speaker [00:38:04] Yeah

Speaker [00:38:05] Jay, do you find a good next question?

Speaker [00:38:10] Do you find any benefit to adding a bunch of secondary conversion events for

Speaker [00:38:13] clicking viewing various page elements?

Speaker [00:38:15] Uh, uh, you know, I, I used to, um, And then I started to go away from it

Speaker [00:38:26] And then I went really far away from it from this last,

Speaker [00:38:28] last thing that came through

Speaker [00:38:29] So I'll give you a small story

Speaker [00:38:30] The reason you went really far away from it though, is because, because

Speaker [00:38:33] Pemex was reporting on all conversions

Speaker [00:38:36] Now that that is fixed

Speaker [00:38:38] Sorry

Speaker [00:38:39] Sort of

Speaker [00:38:39] So here's what I thought was interesting

Speaker [00:38:42] Um, we have a client that has a longer sales cycle, a very expensive product

Speaker [00:38:46] So I was like, alright, cool

Speaker [00:38:47] I need to find some reason and an intent and then a lead generation

Speaker [00:38:51] So I was like, who viewed the page?

Speaker [00:38:53] Who stayed, logged on yada, yada yada

Speaker [00:38:55] So I did all of the, um, uh, fake conversions, like associate, we call

Speaker [00:39:00] them essentially, uh, our terms, vanity conversion, like didn't actually do

Speaker [00:39:03] anything, but this is what it looks like

Speaker [00:39:06] What we found is that we have very little tied together between pages

Speaker [00:39:12] per session and session duration

Speaker [00:39:15] To the lead

Speaker [00:39:17] And then we had even less correlation between what we imported back as

Speaker [00:39:20] a sale to those initial metrics

Speaker [00:39:22] So when I used to have is, Hey, this campaign is actually pretty good

Speaker [00:39:27] Um, Pedro says your saturation, low bounce rate

Speaker [00:39:29] And it actually has some really decent conversion rates on

Speaker [00:39:33] the conversion that we wanted

Speaker [00:39:34] Plus even cost for conversion was good

Speaker [00:39:36] But then when we import it back, what happened from, from that lead to a sale,

Speaker [00:39:40] it was on the other campaign that had really expensive leads and low engagement

Speaker [00:39:45] So I think that if you're talking about lead generation, gotta be

Speaker [00:39:49] very difficult to, to when you pipe back in that actual sale

Speaker [00:39:53] And then you look back and say, what led to that sale and what

Speaker [00:39:56] campaign one ad group keyword ad was

Speaker [00:39:58] It was a PBX

Speaker [00:39:59] Was it not?

Speaker [00:39:59] What was the engagement of the users?

Speaker [00:40:02] We found that there was very little correlation and this is

Speaker [00:40:04] comparing 12 different campaigns

Speaker [00:40:07] And so where I would have put my money is the high converting

Speaker [00:40:10] high engaging, low CPA campaigns

Speaker [00:40:12] Those are actually producing policeman

Speaker [00:40:14] Well, we found out is that in this something, I would say a 90% bounce rate

Speaker [00:40:17] can still have a 10% conversion rate

Speaker [00:40:21] So that's an interesting point that you just made there a 90% bounce rate

Speaker [00:40:25] can still have a 10% conversion rate

Speaker [00:40:28] What a fun conversation that would be to have, because all it means is

Speaker [00:40:31] you're repelling the right traffic, but attracting the right traffic

Speaker [00:40:34] As a matter of fact, you might want that

Speaker [00:40:36] If you're doing proper qualification, the bounce, isn't a negative KPI

Speaker [00:40:42] Right

Speaker [00:40:42] And so that's what was interesting is the vanity metrics

Speaker [00:40:45] I will never scale or optimize a campaign on vanity metrics

Speaker [00:40:49] I'll use them as lead indicators, but the ultimate deciding factor is did they buy

Speaker [00:40:52] or was that convergent turn into a sale?

Speaker [00:40:54] And that's my answer

Speaker [00:40:55] So I still have no very much use for them

Speaker [00:40:58] They're good to know at the beginning, like where you're seeing that, but don't

Speaker [00:41:01] make that your deciding factor to say, oh, I should probably put less money here

Speaker [00:41:04] It just still doesn't

Speaker [00:41:04] So it may not make sense

Speaker [00:41:06] Nice

Speaker [00:41:07] Um, by the way, Michael says he tipped us 10 bucks

Speaker [00:41:11] Thank you, Michael

Speaker [00:41:12] And he said, oh, you say my name better than I ever could

Speaker [00:41:15] Uh, thanks for answering my questions

Speaker [00:41:17] I'm in the middle of onboarding with your agency, by the way

Speaker [00:41:19] I'm also in Scottsdale

Speaker [00:41:20] Yeah

Speaker [00:41:21] Oh, sweet

Speaker [00:41:22] Yeah

Speaker [00:41:22] That's awesome

Speaker [00:41:23] For one for the good guys, arms of Andes

Speaker [00:41:27] Well, first of all, Dave says solutions nine soon

Speaker [00:41:32] Vandy is for econ fashion brand

Speaker [00:41:33] Why is it better to have our segments done at the asset group

Speaker [00:41:36] level and not per campaign?

Speaker [00:41:37] We get Google ads, API metrics at the campaign level, but not the listing

Speaker [00:41:42] E-comm fashion brand

Speaker [00:41:43] Why is it better to have our segments done at the asset level and not per camp?

Speaker [00:41:48] Oh, okay

Speaker [00:41:49] Um, well you absolutely can do that

Speaker [00:41:54] Um, so there's two, two scenarios, but the, the, the, the path through

Speaker [00:42:01] those scenarios are the same

Speaker [00:42:03] And here's what I mean

Speaker [00:42:06] If you want it, if you let's say have a thousand skews and you're an e-com fashion

Speaker [00:42:09] brand, I would put everything in one campaign segmented by the asset groups run

Speaker [00:42:16] an automated bidding strategy, maximize conversion value, maximize conversions

Speaker [00:42:19] with a daily, that's been scaled up to the point where intervention returns

Speaker [00:42:23] And then the second part, because when you scale up to the point of

Speaker [00:42:26] diminishing returns, like we did with this other brand was 15 grand a day

Speaker [00:42:29] We were trying to get to 25,000 and now we're actually doing this next scenario

Speaker [00:42:33] The next thing is, then we looked at all of the listings

Speaker [00:42:37] And the asset groups, uh, in terms of the DSA portion, where

Speaker [00:42:40] we look at the insights tab and we say, what is the best performing?

Speaker [00:42:44] And then we're going to take the daily average ad spends in those campaigns

Speaker [00:42:49] And then we're going to launch an individual PMX campaign is simply

Speaker [00:42:52] a clone of the PMX campaign and shutting off those asset groups here

Speaker [00:42:55] I'm leaving them enabled here

Speaker [00:42:56] So yeah, task groups and you want to launch it

Speaker [00:42:59] You just closed it, shut off the nine and leave the one live

Speaker [00:43:02] So original is the one in here and then show up to it or nine

Speaker [00:43:04] So essentially just transferring that as a group, to its own separate campaign

Speaker [00:43:09] that will allow you to scale up to that next level of diminishing returns because

Speaker [00:43:12] you're not fighting in between each other

Speaker [00:43:14] However, if you have a thousand skews and you're going to launch the individual PMX

Speaker [00:43:18] campaign, you have to ask yourself, okay

Speaker [00:43:20] If I did separate, let's say 15 different categories, you have to

Speaker [00:43:25] spend six weeks at a daily ad spend for each one of those campaigns to then

Speaker [00:43:31] finally see what's performing the best

Speaker [00:43:34] If you lost it all

Speaker [00:43:36] The cream is going to rise to the top and then you scoop off that cream and

Speaker [00:43:39] then launch some campaign with it

Speaker [00:43:41] So my opinion would be, do you want to spend a hundred dollars a day times 15

Speaker [00:43:45] for six weeks, or we'd like to spend $500 a day for six weeks and find

Speaker [00:43:48] the best performing it's up to you

Speaker [00:43:51] If there's no wrong answer, it's just, are you gonna front load cash or, and

Speaker [00:43:54] you're happy with some inefficiencies while you find that data, or are you happy

Speaker [00:43:58] with possibly a little bit lower volume, a lot more profit to find that data

Speaker [00:44:01] it's really, there's no wrong answers

Speaker [00:44:02] It's just a choice

Speaker [00:44:05] Peter says, well, thanks for the answers

Speaker [00:44:07] That was a value bomb

Speaker [00:44:08] Take that day

Speaker [00:44:16] Yeah, let me do this now

Speaker [00:44:17] Hey guys

Speaker [00:44:18] Just drive to hope

Speaker [00:44:19] You're doing well

Speaker [00:44:20] We live in the dream, Tommy

Speaker [00:44:21] I'm sorry

Speaker [00:44:21] I butchered your name

Speaker [00:44:23] Uh, Jason James here to hold us accountable regarding last week's

Speaker [00:44:27] discussion on the PMX version of John stair-stepping method, where custom

Speaker [00:44:30] said pulling back ad spend should force Google to spend more sure

Speaker [00:44:35] Does it make sense to cut back for the ad spend on an underperforming PMX all

Speaker [00:44:39] products within dynamic, your marketing campaign, keeping the same sped

Speaker [00:44:44] Does it make sense to cut back for the spend for an

Speaker [00:44:47] underperforming few questions?

Speaker [00:44:51] How long has that PMX campaign been running overall?

Speaker [00:44:54] And how long have you been running with an increased budget?

Speaker [00:44:57] If you are running at an efficient level and you increased and it

Speaker [00:45:01] became inefficient, you have to give it at least a month

Speaker [00:45:04] And if it still is that not climbing up to more efficient levels, then yes

Speaker [00:45:09] Pull back and you might have, you might have to restrategize

Speaker [00:45:12] before you try that again

Speaker [00:45:14] What, what, what audiences are you targeting?

Speaker [00:45:16] Art is your feet optimized landing pages, obviously, you

Speaker [00:45:19] know, conversion appropriate

Speaker [00:45:22] There's everything that you left of kind of really look through

Speaker [00:45:26] before scaling back up again

Speaker [00:45:30] Um, arms of Andy

Speaker [00:45:34] In which cases would you recommend turning on the URL expansion we saw

Speaker [00:45:37] men's and women's clothing, leggings, sweater, shirts, boxers, et cetera

Speaker [00:45:40] I would always use URL expansion for your exact scenario, but exclude in

Speaker [00:45:44] the URL expansion, things that you simply do not want, like your shipping

Speaker [00:45:48] policy, your possibly your blog

Speaker [00:45:51] You can turn it on later, but no, you're sending cold traffic right

Speaker [00:45:53] To your blog

Speaker [00:45:54] And then trying to measure it with Roaz

Speaker [00:45:55] That's not going to happen

Speaker [00:45:57] So exclude your obvious pages that you're not going to convert or even

Speaker [00:46:00] watch a show, but I always use your expansion for that because you have

Speaker [00:46:03] a person that was a previous user that bought a sweater six months ago

Speaker [00:46:07] That is now coming back and buying board shorts and cause the summertime

Speaker [00:46:10] And you're like, ah, no, you want to remark it that user, but you can

Speaker [00:46:14] not be set anywhere else now because you're locked into that asset group

Speaker [00:46:17] So I always use your extension unless I just see issues, but I

Speaker [00:46:21] don't, I don't see issues with it

Speaker [00:46:24] Uh, they follow talking about box says, oh, you're still paying for the bot clicks

Speaker [00:46:27] regardless of the P, which is the human

Speaker [00:46:30] The hope there though

Speaker [00:46:31] Dave would be that over time

Speaker [00:46:33] If it's conversion, optimizing, Google will start avoiding box

Speaker [00:46:35] That's why we want the, the, the barrier to entry to be so high

Speaker [00:46:39] Yeah

Speaker [00:46:39] Well, you're also paying for bot clicks on every display campaign as well

Speaker [00:46:44] Um, you're, you're paying for black clicks everywhere

Speaker [00:46:47] Uh that's that's the bad part

Speaker [00:46:48] I mean, in search, you're not as frequent for sure

Speaker [00:46:51] Um, and P max, isn't a, isn't a cure all for everything

Speaker [00:46:54] There's absolute limitations

Speaker [00:46:56] One of them is heavy, heavy bod traffic

Speaker [00:46:59] There's also heavy growth though

Speaker [00:47:00] Um, so it's, it's a, it's a tool in the toolbox

Speaker [00:47:03] It's not like the only tool, but it is a tool and you have to know that, Hey,

Speaker [00:47:06] this spill of sand is going to really good at bell Smith, horrible floods

Speaker [00:47:09] Yeah

Speaker [00:47:10] Uh, so that's kind of the, the scenario there

Speaker [00:47:14] Um, max vendors is going to launch team access 13 feet

Speaker [00:47:19] Uh, Matt and I can go start at PMX and other countries and it's performing

Speaker [00:47:22] That's great

Speaker [00:47:23] I'm not seeing, oh, you're not using that little cool till I'm posting them up

Speaker [00:47:27] When they're actual questions

Speaker [00:47:29] Here we go

Speaker [00:47:31] Yeah

Speaker [00:47:31] Phobia, uh, if there's that much click traffic, why does click cease network?

Speaker [00:47:36] Oh, it, it, it sort of works

Speaker [00:47:37] The problem is just like, for your previous example, Dave,

Speaker [00:47:40] you're paying for it still

Speaker [00:47:41] So click sees is the cop that comes up and says someone's been murdered

Speaker [00:47:44] The problem is there's so many murders that by the time you get through all the

Speaker [00:47:47] murders, then it's gonna to start to work

Speaker [00:47:50] So it, he says, Hey, you got a bot click and we'd bandit

Speaker [00:47:52] And you're like, sweet

Speaker [00:47:53] And then the next day it's like, Hey, you got an Oculus and bam then

Speaker [00:47:56] And that just never ends

Speaker [00:47:57] Yeah

Speaker [00:47:58] We tried Cooksey son, five accounts, three of them, it hurt the campaign

Speaker [00:48:03] performance of, so it was blocking traffic that we apparently didn't want

Speaker [00:48:06] to block because Roaz dipped two of them, like mild improvements, but nothing

Speaker [00:48:12] And now they'll come outside of normal optimizations

Speaker [00:48:14] Really?

Speaker [00:48:14] Here's the other thing

Speaker [00:48:15] They came to us and offered us a promo spot

Speaker [00:48:19] Like they wanted, they, they wanted to, we had every reason

Speaker [00:48:23] to want to make clicks this work

Speaker [00:48:25] Um, but you can't promote something if it wasn't working

Speaker [00:48:29] from a case study perspective

Speaker [00:48:30] Yeah

Speaker [00:48:30] Yeah

Speaker [00:48:30] I would say clicks

Speaker [00:48:31] These did work for one client that had just only inbound DSA traffic within

Speaker [00:48:35] like a 75 mile radius of their location because their competitors were jerks

Speaker [00:48:40] Um, Everyone knows what that means

Speaker [00:48:42] So I did block their competitors from clicking on their ads a

Speaker [00:48:45] bunch, um, and it didn't help

Speaker [00:48:47] That was the one that I was like, man, amazing

Speaker [00:48:49] But that's again, small town clicks from people that it's like, Bob,

Speaker [00:48:52] would you start clicking on my ad?

Speaker [00:48:53] Like that's how that scenario was

Speaker [00:48:55] So we just banned Bob

Speaker [00:48:56] Uh, so it worked, um, yeah, I wouldn't, I wouldn't use it as a blanket

Speaker [00:49:00] catch all like aha bot traffic is now fixed, just banned by Sean GG

Speaker [00:49:06] Hey guys, how do we introduce sales assets?

Speaker [00:49:09] Memorial day black Friday to Pemex

Speaker [00:49:10] Do we just pause asset groups, one run as a group during that time

Speaker [00:49:12] period, this is something that has been very, very, very difficult and

Speaker [00:49:18] is a great, great quick question

Speaker [00:49:19] So for the things like for sale events, um, I have not found a good

Speaker [00:49:24] way to not screw up good, consistent growth performance, and still

Speaker [00:49:28] run assets that are sale related my SOP, and it's not efficient

Speaker [00:49:34] It's just, what's been the least damaging, I would say is only running, um, GMC

Speaker [00:49:41] Um, now, if you're running P max for lead generation change, your

Speaker [00:49:44] headline, I would say is, is going to be the best option for you

Speaker [00:49:47] Um, but for sales, for e-commerce, I always will run site-wide sales

Speaker [00:49:54] and I will only put it in GMC

Speaker [00:49:58] The reason being is that when you change an asset group, is that performance

Speaker [00:50:01] Max is a three week lag is a three week lull

Speaker [00:50:05] So if you're running like a week-long sale, it's like, okay, it's going to

Speaker [00:50:07] screw it up for a week and I'm going to run for a week and I'm going to screw

Speaker [00:50:10] it up again while I change it back

Speaker [00:50:11] And then I'll, and now my sale actually went in debt

Speaker [00:50:14] So I found that if you leave everything in the even keel and only through an

Speaker [00:50:18] throwing the promotion via a GMC, you stick a badge on all of your asset groups

Speaker [00:50:22] without changing anything in your asset groups, your shopping portion says sale

Speaker [00:50:26] Like all that stuff is still good there

Speaker [00:50:28] You're just not changing around your headline, but

Speaker [00:50:31] You're you're you're saying I'm not going to screw up a month worth of

Speaker [00:50:34] good traffic, because I want to change my headline from like sale today

Speaker [00:50:37] Hey, was that really worth it?

Speaker [00:50:38] No, but a GMC promotion is so I would say still just stick with

Speaker [00:50:42] GMC promotions whenever possible

Speaker [00:50:44] Um, I wouldn't be going around changing your PMX settings just for a short sale

Speaker [00:50:47] It's not worth it

Speaker [00:50:48] You won't actually spend more

Speaker [00:50:50] You'll spend less inefficiently during that sale

Speaker [00:50:53] It's counterintuitive again, only in performance max

Speaker [00:50:57] Um, Michael , any workarounds to Pemex limits on subdividing

Speaker [00:51:02] products to a thousand

Speaker [00:51:09] oh, are you talking about on like your a hundred asset group?

Speaker [00:51:11] Um, so actually, um, one thing that we did is, um, depending upon the structure,

Speaker [00:51:19] Michael will you'll see your account when you're, when you're onboarded,

Speaker [00:51:22] but if there is many different, uh,

Speaker [00:51:27] Barrier various, geez, I'm blanking on the name

Speaker [00:51:30] If there's many different variants, is that the reason

Speaker [00:51:32] why there's a thousand skews?

Speaker [00:51:34] Is it like, you know, a hundred skews and 10 variants?

Speaker [00:51:36] We'd actually want to build it out to all of the first variant or the

Speaker [00:51:39] most popular variant I should say

Speaker [00:51:41] But if it's actually a thousand unique skews, we would

Speaker [00:51:43] launch multiple performance

Speaker [00:51:44] Max campaigns, just using the same exact daily budgets

Speaker [00:51:48] It acts the same because performance Mexican remarket,

Speaker [00:51:50] other performance, max traffic

Speaker [00:51:52] So it's essentially like if you have two, 500 our campaigns with

Speaker [00:51:55] 500 skews, you have one, $1,000 per day campaign with a thousand skews

Speaker [00:51:59] It's kind of like that

Speaker [00:52:00] They'll still tied together

Speaker [00:52:05] Keith,

Speaker [00:52:10] uh, I just Google Michael, by the way, he's like legit famous

Speaker [00:52:13] Hey, happy to have you on board Michael and get your autograph

Speaker [00:52:18] Uh, Steve bubbles

Speaker [00:52:20] I duplicated a PM campaign, but only 52 of my 96 asset groups copied over

Speaker [00:52:24] Tried it twice

Speaker [00:52:25] Same results

Speaker [00:52:25] Is this normal?

Speaker [00:52:26] No, that's just the worst thing I could possibly

Speaker [00:52:31] Yeah, I would try, uh, Google ads, editor, Quill editor supports BMX now

Speaker [00:52:35] So try and see if you can export it and then import it or sorry, export it

Speaker [00:52:39] Then post, I guess is what's called, uh, arms of Andes

Speaker [00:52:44] If our PMX does not have the desired role, as would you

Speaker [00:52:46] recommend a DSA campaign with TCPA?

Speaker [00:52:49] Oh yeah

Speaker [00:52:49] I mean, that's the thing too

Speaker [00:52:51] Performance max can stand really well on its own

Speaker [00:52:53] And if it can't throw in all the other campaigns you're running before

Speaker [00:52:57] Um, so here's what we say is like smart shopping

Speaker [00:53:02] Can't run it with BMX

Speaker [00:53:03] Everything else will fight

Speaker [00:53:07] That's not bad

Speaker [00:53:08] It just means that the area that performance max is going, is

Speaker [00:53:12] that going to be better than what you're currently doing or worse?

Speaker [00:53:16] So it's not a, here's how to change everything into performance backs

Speaker [00:53:19] You can, I've done it many times and I've had much better success, but I've

Speaker [00:53:23] also had the times where I've added it on and just gave it like a 30% bump

Speaker [00:53:27] I've had times where I added on and fail

Speaker [00:53:29] Sometimes I don't start at all

Speaker [00:53:31] Don't stick to any golden rules

Speaker [00:53:32] Remember when I've, when PMX first came out

Speaker [00:53:34] One of our first, I think lines that said there's no more golden rules anymore

Speaker [00:53:37] Like that's still true

Speaker [00:53:39] Everything is so unique now

Speaker [00:53:41] So if it doesn't have the desired row as reduce, spend, and start to

Speaker [00:53:48] look at why look at your targets, are they well, look at your assets

Speaker [00:53:53] Are they well built out or using 20 images, five, uh, videos

Speaker [00:53:57] and five headlines by long, how there's five descriptions?

Speaker [00:54:00] Do you have them replicated four different ways to different targets?

Speaker [00:54:03] All those things too

Speaker [00:54:04] You have to, you have to, and then have you given it six weeks without

Speaker [00:54:08] Like all of those things are still the standard operating procedure, but

Speaker [00:54:11] don't make it like so focused and say, this is the future right up your max

Speaker [00:54:14] No, it's it is

Speaker [00:54:16] But you grow into it

Speaker [00:54:20] Um, you want to do rapid fire

Speaker [00:54:24] Let's do it toy

Speaker [00:54:26] Snip

Speaker [00:54:26] What is the best way to use top performing audience segments insights?

Speaker [00:54:29] Should we add these insights for audience signal of each asset group?

Speaker [00:54:32] And is Google optimize for us?

Speaker [00:54:33] No, I wouldn't actually add any of those

Speaker [00:54:35] The problem is the top performing audience, segments insights in your Google

Speaker [00:54:38] ads account, or even your analytics are sometimes just because it's like, Hey,

Speaker [00:54:44] the people that are interested in mother's day shopping also needed a can opener

Speaker [00:54:48] Well that's because people that are shopping from are they shopping?

Speaker [00:54:50] Those 10 people also may can opener, but don't go after everybody that's

Speaker [00:54:53] interested, motivate shopping

Speaker [00:54:54] That was just a picture of the personality that

Speaker [00:54:56] So I wouldn't, I wouldn't start there now fixed to their personality that way

Speaker [00:55:00] That's uh, sir

Speaker [00:55:03] Hey, we're responding to the previous thing that we went over when you

Speaker [00:55:06] were asking, what would the, the, the cost of the CPC search terms are only

Speaker [00:55:08] long tail keywords from our products

Speaker [00:55:10] And the average CPC was 15 cents

Speaker [00:55:12] If it was long tail keywords and 15 cents, I wouldn't do Pemex

Speaker [00:55:15] I was scale the crap out of that thing

Speaker [00:55:18] I wouldn't, I would not, if you're getting 15 sec clicks and $2 conversions

Speaker [00:55:22] scale, that thing to the moon and Ben launch P max, John is your SOP manual

Speaker [00:55:27] CPC first with the phrase match for all accounts BMX, no pure, broad, very

Speaker [00:55:32] broad, automated bidding strategies

Speaker [00:55:33] I don't use manual CPC very much at all, unless I'm going after like a stupid ball

Speaker [00:55:41] Like we have a client that we tried to get max for

Speaker [00:55:43] Didn't really work

Speaker [00:55:43] I'm like we have to pay $65 a click for injury accident, attorney or

Speaker [00:55:48] me like, then, then I'll need

Speaker [00:55:50] Jay, you mentioned a prior video that you run a remarketing campaign

Speaker [00:55:53] in addition to Pemex, would you do this even if you're targeting new

Speaker [00:55:56] and old customers with peanuts?

Speaker [00:55:57] Yeah

Speaker [00:55:58] So BMX is more heavily derivative to a new customer

Speaker [00:56:01] So it says, say I have 10 people who I can remarket

Speaker [00:56:03] I have 10 new people, ill choose eight of the new people and two of the old

Speaker [00:56:07] So the other eight of the old are just kind of hanging out and

Speaker [00:56:10] not getting impressed with us

Speaker [00:56:11] So run either a discovery, remarketing at display or

Speaker [00:56:14] marketing or YouTube remarketing

Speaker [00:56:17] We've had some display, marketing's just blow up and make everything amazing

Speaker [00:56:20] We've had some displeasure, marketing's kill everything and then YouTube,

Speaker [00:56:23] remarketing blow up everything again

Speaker [00:56:24] I'm getting 800 ROAS on my YouTube remarketing after launching P max

Speaker [00:56:27] When I couldn't get over like 200

Speaker [00:56:29] So test different styles of remarketing, max, just thinking about hidden

Speaker [00:56:35] fields Legion, uh don't know if it prevents bot traffic from converting

Speaker [00:56:38] We're trying to S yeah, our CTO tried this and then Glenn, one of

Speaker [00:56:42] our CMEs came up with this honeypot

Speaker [00:56:45] They kind of work, but not really

Speaker [00:56:47] And it's problem too, is it's not, it's not click farms

Speaker [00:56:52] Um, good thing to know match

Speaker [00:56:53] They excluding vocation does not relevant to dreads, uh, India, China, does that

Speaker [00:56:57] have an effect on bots even states that you don't want to target now?

Speaker [00:57:00] No, because the boss or the click farms use VPNs the United States

Speaker [00:57:04] And so Google ads, like I only received a click from United States since like

Speaker [00:57:08] the, the lead says I live in India

Speaker [00:57:10] Ha like, I mean, just that obvious,

Speaker [00:57:15] uh, since we have 74 asset groups and limited to a hundred, how do you recommend

Speaker [00:57:18] integrating the digital audiences?

Speaker [00:57:20] Do I grew up multiple audiences under the same asset group?

Speaker [00:57:22] Uh, I would actually launch different PMX campaigns because it's

Speaker [00:57:25] still remarket in and of itself

Speaker [00:57:26] So that's the thing too is you can have five new Mex campaigns even

Speaker [00:57:29] going after the same listing groups and the strongest asking group

Speaker [00:57:32] will win, but they will share

Speaker [00:57:34] So be mindful of your attribution model, Tommy for sale like

Speaker [00:57:38] black Friday, cyber Monday

Speaker [00:57:39] If I added it as a promotion extension on my whole account, does it reset

Speaker [00:57:42] the learning of my campaigns?

Speaker [00:57:44] That's a standard procedure

Speaker [00:57:46] That's what I was saying is I add a promotion

Speaker [00:57:48] Oh, um, well would you say promotion, extension, uh, are we talking

Speaker [00:57:53] about through GMC promotions?

Speaker [00:57:54] Are we talking about like, through an ad extension?

Speaker [00:57:56] I don't know what that means

Speaker [00:57:57] Um, but I add it to the whole account and it does do better

Speaker [00:58:02] Um, there will be a lull after the sale, but it comes back pretty much easy

Speaker [00:58:06] Dave claims that he's famous

Speaker [00:58:08] Uh, Dave, I still understand if you need to leave Pemex alone that long

Speaker [00:58:13] Uh, who do you, who you do anything?

Speaker [00:58:15] What, who do you do anything time sensitive

Speaker [00:58:19] Oh, how do you, how do you do anything time sensitive?

Speaker [00:58:22] Are you drinking to, uh, do, uh, do promotion extensions work in Pemex?

Speaker [00:58:29] No

Speaker [00:58:29] So that's the thing is they don't the promotion extensions don't work at PMX

Speaker [00:58:32] Um, the, uh, promotion extensions only will work in GMC, inherited

Speaker [00:58:37] through PMX and then you'll need to use, um, well, not yet

Speaker [00:58:40] Anyway, promotion extensions may work, uh, but they don't

Speaker [00:58:43] Um, but that was the thing is like, if you do anything time sensitive,

Speaker [00:58:46] that's what I was saying before is you have to do it only through GMC

Speaker [00:58:50] You don't touch your PMX campaigns

Speaker [00:58:52] I have done it through PMX campaigns till I'm blue in the face

Speaker [00:58:55] And then every single time it's like, well, that sales sucked

Speaker [00:58:57] It's like, no, it's just, it took too long out of my sport

Speaker [00:58:59] So if you want to launch a black Friday cyber Monday sale in September, yeah

Speaker [00:59:02] I'll be really locked twice for that sale, but you run that sale all the way

Speaker [00:59:05] until that at that point, uh, Dylan says when you add budget for Pemex, whenever

Speaker [00:59:09] I've hit goal that is consistent for two to three weeks, Matt Nightingale,

Speaker [00:59:16] best performing audience signals

Speaker [00:59:17] You've tried audience affinity in market keywords websites in market,

Speaker [00:59:22] uh, with an overlap of affinity, uh, or sorry, dumb audience singles best

Speaker [00:59:26] is keywords that it's in market

Speaker [00:59:29] And then it's, um, affinity

Speaker [00:59:31] And then it's words perform

Speaker [00:59:34] Yeah

Speaker [00:59:34] Only because the DSA portion is a good majority of the traffic

Speaker [00:59:37] The in-market goes more towards outbound campaigns, like YouTube

Speaker [00:59:39] GSPs search, display, and discover

Speaker [00:59:42] But if you're in your two main areas of BMX are DSA and shopping

Speaker [00:59:46] Um, so that part, when you give it keywords, the people that convert are

Speaker [00:59:51] still typing in a keyword into Google to get either the search or shopping

Speaker [00:59:55] Yeah

Speaker [00:59:55] I just always thought in market was going to be, I mean, Google knows what

Speaker [00:59:58] people want when you overlap those two

Speaker [01:00:01] That's when it's great

Speaker [01:00:03] Um, so all of our members and subscribers, thank you so much

Speaker [01:00:07] We love you dearly

Speaker [01:00:07] We're going to see you next Friday in the meantime
