[00:00:00] Lucas: Hello everybody and welcome to another episode of The Elevated Entrepreneur. I'm Lucas James. And I'm Leah. And we're gonna be talking today about how to turn your passion into profit. You know, a lot of you have great ideas that you want to talk about. A lot of you have unique strategies for growing your business, and monetizing a podcast is one of the best ways to grow your company.
[00:00:20] Lucas: So we're gonna be talking about a couple different ways that we've monetized our podcast, both from the people listening to the show, having sponsorships, and then also generating leads directly from our podcast. For people who've listened to our previous episodes, we've talked about how we've leveraged our own podcast, like the Wellness Hour, and how to scale business, and how to scale an agency and this podcast into actually generating more clients and leads for our businesses.
[00:00:46] Lucas: One of the coolest things about podcasting is that you can actually have the podcast generate leads from the exact people who are the guests on the show. If you bring a guest on the show at the end of the show, you can just ask them, Hey, I don't know if you're interested in this, in either marketing or whatever you offer.
[00:01:00] Lucas: But I'd love to show you a little bit about what we do and learn a little bit more about what you do too. And when you set it up in this way, you've already gotten people to like you and trust you and know about you, so they're more likely to be interested in any kind of an offer that you might have, as opposed to selling someone directly with a direct sales pitch, which might not be as valuable and might not get you the r o I that you're looking for.
[00:01:20] Lucas: Networking through a podcast is a great way to generate revenue immediately, and it's something that we definitely recommend people test out. Leo, what kind of things have you. Done to, uh, grow the profit revenue from your business, from podcasting.
[00:01:33] Leah: For me, I find that. Having guests come on the show who might be good fits to work with for me has been really great.
[00:01:42] Leah: Even if they themselves aren't someone who wants to sign up for my services, but if they can recommend me to someone or give me some advice, that's been really great as well as getting sponsorships and revenue from the amount of views you get. So once your podcast hits a certain amount of views, you can qualify.
[00:02:02] Leah: To have ads run and there's all different types of ads. There's ads that you can record yourself. There's ads that will just be popped in the beginning, middle, or end of the podcast that are recorded by others, and you just get a little bit of a payout from the amount of people who listen to those ads.
[00:02:20] Leah: So I found that to be really helpful once you start building up the amount of. Views you get. And if you're just starting out, I think that you should be mentioning your products or services or whatever you sell in your podcast. And the more you can bring on guests and have them share what their network, the more people are going to hear about what you do.
[00:02:41] Leah: And I find it to be a really great way to promote your business.
[00:02:45] Lucas: A hundred percent. And one of the ways too that you can actually leverage some of the technology that we're building for free actually to start promoting and turning your podcast to something that produces more profit is every time you add a show to our platform, you actually can grab the shareable link for your guests to share with their audience.
[00:03:03] Lucas: And then anytime a lead comes through that form inside of our database, you can see all the leads inside your account in Mob Caster. So I've been using that. So anytime I finish a podcast episode, share it with my audience, share it with my guests, and then anybody who visits the U R L to listen to the show can actually now be able to, fill the form out.
[00:03:23] Lucas: And actually we can track that the person was listening to this episode, they liked it, and then send. Subsequent messages to them. So feel free to use that tool. But I think in general, cross-promotion, collaboration, all sorts of things around podcasting is really important. And making sure that your guest actually shares the episode with their audience is also really important for generating profit from the podcast.
[00:03:43] Lucas: 'cause those are the exact listeners you want. You know, if you bring on your ideal client. Chances are they know other people who are interested in the same thing. If you're doing a B two C podcast and you invite on a influencer to talk about something related to your product, they also have the audience that you'll need to actually go and get more of those types of customers.
[00:04:00] Lucas: So this is essentially business 1 0 1. It's a great way. To generate leads from your podcast and more profit from the podcast as well.
