[00:00:00] so that's kind of how I like it to have setups just really see the full fun also people are starting to click uh then are they are they dropping on on the cart or they dropping on the checkout especially for new um for new uh ads you know you can relase buff just to see if there's you know a trend going going uh if the ads is improving if you know if you see more ads to card uh days on days or if you just uh see barely no ads to card that gives you a good idea to uh if the the creative is going in the the right diretion or not so columns here is kind of it's kind of quite important to have your columns because um if you just go with the default I think they they just uh had a new one that it's kind of sells but it's not really good usually you'll have just performance what pretty much the only thing you'll see is the amount spent in the cost for results so um here I would recommend to just uh going into customize and really
[00:01:00] customize your column so how I like it set up here is I here I see my um you can have your date created um and then you can have the the purchase conversion value so that's the total of sales and then the the Ry I rarely look at purchase conversion value uh most you look at Roi you know um right there that's one of the key metrics and then cost per purchase that's what you you were seeing in terms of the the cost per results here you have your delivery uh your budget and then uh in terms of the other columns what I like to see is for Ecom especially is I mean this one might not be the good a good ex not a good example since they're going the at to card is same as the the checkout initiated since it's going to to a landing page but uh for these guys for example um from there uh you'll see your cost per purchase then you see your uh cost per checkout and then you'll see your add to card and then your link
[00:01:58] click so that's kind of how I like it to have just really see the full fun also people are starting to click uh then are they are they dropping on on the cart or are they dropping on the checkout especially for new um for new uh ads you know you can release buff just to see if there's you know a trend going going uh if the ads is improving if you know if you see more ads to cart uh days on days or if you just uh see barely no ads to cart that gives you a good idea to uh if the the creative is going in the the right direction or not then of course there's a bunch of different metrics like C trade super important CPM is how um is how Facebook will charge you well these guys are getting really low CPM usually you'll see those uh around like 30 and whatnot for United States um so um yeah these are they're really lucky to have those CPM so cpms often you know you'll uh for new businesses new page
[00:02:53] you'll have really kind of high cpms or for competitive market uh if you go like for old people that with high incomes for example you have really high cpms uh like skincare competitive market you'll have you know sometimes you have cpms over the the 100 so that's kind of how uh Facebook charge it's it's per impression per thousand impression so no matter the you know the results the clicks whatever uh it's it's about cpms um and then here I the other uh the other Matrix um that we have uh it's kind of it's not the the most important I would say but on the ad level what what's cool is um what you can have is that you can see like quickly like the headline and the body and the Des the destination um the destination link so instead of just uh clicking and and and looking that's a that's a cool trick you can can also see the page name um there's some quality ranking but I think I think you know uh Facebook is not
[00:03:54] really looking at us at that for optimizing it's more for for um for us to know but uh I would say you know what matters the most is you know start with the clicks you know how much cost per clicks you know this is really low cost grou link click you know usually we'll see stuff around like a dollar to$ two dollars uh you know in average but sometimes it can go up to you know uh eight eight dollar you know for something really competitive but usually rule of time you know one one to2 would be the maximum for for e-commerce and you can look at your average on the account as well and um kind of kind of look at that um yeah so if anyone is interested you know I could uh share my columns screenshot to or just kind of reach out to me um that's kind of important to kind of really look at the data um and see what what works best so I could just take screenshot of this and that's kind of how you you arrange it
[00:04:50] similar to to Google i' say um yep um any question all is good not a question but I do think um yeah Jonathan if you can take a screenshot of the of what you look at like how you have your column set up I think that'd be super helpful for us newbies try to navigate what's more most important I'll put that in the in the the channel I think sure yeah go ahead be ar whatever AR is first yeah thank you K so Jonathan you mentioned that looking at your comments and reactions is very important and let's say I'm running an ad and someone commented on that particular ad yeah okay so how will I get notified if someone has put a put a comment or how can I manage them yeah so let me show you for example so there's kind of two ways to go about it okay more but um over here you can kind of uh go to the ad level and select the ad you would like to to see like the one that is active you can hit preview okay and then you can click the
[00:06:00] arrow here and go see post Facebook post with comments okay so that way you'll be able to see them uh directly um and then you don't see Instagram those on those but often Instagram will have uh last uh comments from what I found you know um you know the usually I found that most brands will spend on Facebook uh quite largely I think you know the that platform was built on Facebook at first too uh but also what when I've saw that it's going more on Instagram it's often when they have a strong following on Instagram you know when they're really posting heavily and most of their audience interacts with them over there that's kind of where you you'll see that uh you can do your breakdowns um so let me oh yeah to to finish your question to there's a comment section uh you that here so there's a comment section kind of like the inbox okay get you it's on the business manager yeah yep I'll get you quick ques real
[00:07:17] quick well I think that's their second page you have two page those guys but anyway yeah here you have your messages you have uh messenger and then you have Facebook comments and Instagram comments so Instagram is not linked here but any new comments will pop on top here so that's kind of where you can uh show the brand uh where to manage them um is this what I would recommend I would send them the this link right there and just say you know look at all those comments or Al also save the post of the you know if they just have a few post that gets a ton of comments you can just save those and kind of check them uh daily and whatnot so like you know these uh you can either hide or you could also delete that comment so uh kind of kind of up to sometimes the brands too you know some like uh yeah so there's a few bad comments but the the the good part is like those uh usually don't stay on the catalogs or they stay
[00:08:14] really for for a short period of time um yeah I mean it's kind of in and out for those but that's kind of how you see your uh your comments on that so as you can see sometimes there's just one or two and sometimes too let's say there's like three comments and you hide all three I found that sometimes uh people will just kind of find it weird when they kind of go to the comments and they see Zero uh I mean sometimes it will hurt performance too so something to keep in mind but you have if you have a 100 comments and you hide one or two uh that doesn't make much uh much difference you know underst that makes sense thank you so much for sure Colby still up yep you can let on car go I don't I don't need to answer my question sure on yeah so uh uh Jonathan you said that Facebook charges for thousand Impressions is that uh it or do they also charge like I think when I used to run ads like four or five years ago that
[00:09:21] there we can select how we want to get charge like Impressions clicks or views so is is it the same or H yeah it's it's it's cpms I would say like 9 98% 99% at some point they uh they tried to cost per click but I don't think we we were able to do it with um with the purchase of the objective I think you were only able to do it with the link click I think I have one link click here so the the only reason why I have a link click campaigns uh for these guys so that's a good example I guess to right there so um let me just grab the ones that are had delivery so that cool um that's I guess that's a safe search on on all accounts it just had delivery so that will uh just filter your view to anything that ran um at least one impression and that's you know any even if it's been deleted why not you'll see it so uh yeah just a quick by the way here like this uh this campaign right here it's uh it's landing page
[00:10:27] view so optimize for traffic so and uh this one we're going like really uh I mean we change it up a quick a few times but we're going really uh narrow in terms of the the audience so you know we're doing lookalike of their buyers so this is like using the pixel of the last 60 days 6% of the United States 6% of their um email is export of customers uh and then 6% of the of the purchases in the past six months and then we're excluding all their their warm audience so all the all the website visitors all the followers all the engagers um and the email list um from from this to kind of go stone cold I guess you guys are are familiar with the the warm the bottom of funnel or top of funnel and kind of just go after either like fresh uh fresh so that's kind of the only way you can really go stone coal uh as much as possible but quick thing is that you know Facebook will often remarket on on itself and when you
[00:11:34] let's say exclud visitors the only people that can and engagers the only people I can remarket to is uh people that didn't engage or visit the website so sometimes you'll restrict the algorithm doing that but um yeah it's a it's a cool it's a cool way to go Stone Cold let's say you have a small audience or you trying to really test out going after new uh people so yeah just a quick bite away so yeah to go back here we have like their 6% look alike and then we narrow also with income so you can Target like um zip code that have higher incomes and we also narrow it down with um with the interest so when you do stuff like that though it's important to keep an eye on the size of the audience so right now you can't see it because I have exclusion but if you remove the exclusion you'll be able to see it yeah so it's quite a small audience you know since it's narrow but at least it's in it's in the million so I'd say
[00:12:31] that's about as small as you can as you said go for an audience except you're if you're like in a specific location um yeah and then to go back here um to what I wanted to show um is that this is like a really narrow audience you know really targeted because I know like Facebook won't send buyers I'm asking for traffic so this is what I'm getting you know the cost for link click is 5 cents uh compared to like all the other campaigns are like a dollar or two then the catalog that are lower to so it say 5 cents but if I look at my RO my Ros and my cost per purchase it's uh it's you know not even one where the account is at 10 so for uh for every dollar we spend here we get like 10 but like for this one we get just one so we spent in the last three days 450 get 400 back so that's kind of what I I wanted to say about the objective how important it is to uh really go for uh the objective and then to answer your
[00:13:30] question on car um I think it was for for these guys that you could uh change your bid uh for clicks but I think they removed it so uh it's been a while since I've checked but pretty sure uh we can't uh ask for click but I wouldn't recommend kind of go going outside of what uh the best practice is so I think this will be uh yeah this is kind of manual bid so you can do like manual bids which I don't recommend to to stay on bget uh because manual bids will often not spend uh if your bid is too low or uh sometimes it will stop spending right away so it's harder to keep uh budgets for clients unless they they're kind of like open budget and scale as much as you can that's when I would use uh manual bidding for really large budgets uh for like let's say 5,000 a day or something like that I would uh I would then potentially use that to control span so Facebook just doesn't spend the the CPN to fulfill
[00:14:28] your order will only spend um if if it thinks it will meet your your bid so let's say you bid the uh you know $30 cost per purchase and it thinks it it can't do it it just won't spend so yeah some things to keep in mind there but I don't really yeah so to answer your question sorry long answer on car um yeah there's there's not a way to go for clicks anymore I think they tried it for a little while but I don't think it was really popular and it wasn't for for purchases uh objective so yeah go cool and um yeah I guess a cool thing here sure uh just this is all CA yeah yeah I'll I'll get your question in a second uh I just wanted to touch about that you know so that's kind of the other set the other way around so on the uh if just had set I show you like I excluded all of those audience but I often like to Target that you know that uh all custom audience so that would be like all website visitors um Facebook
[00:15:30] followers engagers you can go up to a year uh visitors you can go up to six months so kind of just putting all their uh warm audience in there that usually works uh pretty good and then uh what I like to do as well uh in terms of remarketing um pretty sure these guys have it live as well yeah it would be the recent so uh people that just engage with uh the business that's kind of lwh hanging through that we see working really well uh is people that engage here I've put in like um these guys have counted two uh pages but I've put engagers in the past uh four or three days here um so uh it's someone that either liked or comment or you know clicked uh in the past uh three days um and then I put in the visitors past 14 days here and for these guys I also added their customers and the adart initiate check out but often I won't do that you know usually it will just be um engagers past uh 3 four days and then
[00:16:37] visitors the past 14 days or 10 days for example um and this uh kind of it's kind of like remarketing that people that just engage with the the business that maybe they forgot to purchase or they got distracted and whatnot and we're kind of just uh bringing them back so just a cool uh cool boost to to have there yeah sure go ahead harsh yeah so Jonathan as here audience targeting performs a vital role in Facebook ads so do you have any set of Benchmark or something which says audience size should be this much to have a proper test or something like that yeah yeah I think I would say like the bigger the the better uh just want to not go too small so I would say two million would be kind of the smallest I would I would go um okay yeah and then you can go as large as you can you can just go broad can the ASC that's the that's kind of the idea behind it just let all the available inventory to
[00:17:35] Facebook and let the algorithm uh kind of do its thing U I know it sounds sounds scary and doesn't doesn't really uh you know make sense but uh that's that's that's what work what's working best in the recent Facebook post iOS yeah underst here so on the creative side here um so a cool trick that we can do to kind of uh save engagement is using the post ID so maybe I can come back to to this strategy on another call uh but usually what what what what you'll see is it will be in uh create ad so so create
