The complete conversation, in order. 10,647 words.

[00:00:00] Hello? Hello. Hello. Welcome to unbreakable. Live with glory, the podcast where we talk about depression, anxiety, PTSD in a holistic way and natural way to always make you feel better. And this is Gloria Goldberg, the founder of this podcast. Hi everybody. How were you? This is a special show today. It was not in my books, but uh, it happened and today is my birthday, my birthday, 50 birthday today.

[00:00:35] I'm so happy. And I said, well, what is the best celebration to celebrate your birthday and doing something that you love and you are passionate about it. And here I am. So today I bring in a very, very, um, cool. I would say. Cool. Um, Show today is something very deep and something that is happening a lot right now in the world.

[00:01:01] And we are talking about divorces separation, and we're talking about victims of violence and all that stuff that we normally don't talk about it because some women that are afraid, some people are afraid to talk about all the subjects. But if we don't talk about, if we don't break the silence, we never gonna be able to have a solution.

[00:01:26] And this show is not about talking bad about men or talking bad about women or putting people down. It's just to make people aware that it's completely normal, that in some relationships are. Toxics. And it is completely normal that a lot of people fight and that's completely normal that people don't understand each other.

[00:01:53] And doesn't mean that one person or the other person are the bad are the bad person. It just, the personality doesn't match the, the way they raise each other, uh, completely different. So they don't match. Uh, the, the other persons have a way to see life and the other person have, uh, an older, different way to see life.

[00:02:17] So sometimes it's so hard to. To put two world two different worlds together. And, and what happened also in these days. And also before that we are, so we rush into relationships because we just wanna be with someone. We wanna have like a, we wanna have a boyfriend, we wanna get married. And sometimes we see all the red on the beginning and we.

[00:02:42] Go into the relationship. No matter one, we thinking that we're gonna fix it or we gonna change it or I'm gonna change that. Or I can handle that. I think I can, I can do it. And yes, when you are in the beginning, you're so excited and you have this like, uh, emotions of like, uh, you can't even even take the moon and give it to the person and you can see everything beautifully amplify.

[00:03:10] And then you think that that state of emotion is gonna continue for a long time. And then when that disappears, cuz that would disappear with the time. Then you're gonna say, oh my God, why this person, why this person changed so much in such a short time? It's because sometimes or mostly time people don't show the real face they've people don't show the real, the real.

[00:03:40] Person who they are. And I'm not saying here again, that the person is a bad or, or, or is a bad person. It just don't show it the real, how they are. So, because they are trying to get that person. So they are more like lovey, lovey, they show they're so gentle and they show that they can do a lot of things for you, but how, how long they can last that to support something that is not you.

[00:04:08] So when you are not, you it's, you can, you, maybe you can fake it for maybe I will say for month, one month, two months, you can fake it. But then after you became the real you, because you're not used to be, you're not used to be faking all the time. So that's why we are in this moment, going through a lot of divorces.

[00:04:32] A lot of separation and a lot of people saying, oh my God, this is a, a big crisis that we are going through. And yes, it's a big crisis. But also this is a moment of awareness where a lot of people where a lot of people today is waking up and knowing they are in. Thank you, Angeline for my happy birthday.

[00:04:54] Thank you. Like this moment in, in present, there's a lot of people like noticing that with the person that living or the person they're married to, they are not the person that they thought. And also they going through relationships, abuses, relationship, toxic relationships, things that you can't even imagine.

[00:05:17] And people sometimes go through that and they stay in those, um, talk, you know, toxic relationships. because they think that's normal or they think that's what it is. And that's what it is. And, or they don't wanna be alone. So it's so many things that make a lot of people stay together for the wrong reasons.

[00:05:45] And I think if you are in a relationship that you're not really completely happy, I know in the beginning so hard, but sometimes it's better to say bye-bye and to better to move on in life in another direction, because you come here to this world to, to have a more enjoyful life. And yes, the people that you met in life, that the people that you're supposed to meet for you to learn.

[00:06:12] And once, once you learn that, that lesson and you think that you can do it anymore, that's the, that time for you to say, I need to go it's time to say goodbye. So today I bring in a, a very good friend of mine. Her name is Angeline cons Constantine, and she is a survival survivor for a violence, domestic violence, and also she's today coaching and helping a lot of women that are getting divorced, going through divorce and single mothers that, that, you know, when you go to divorce and you became single mother is so hard for women.

[00:06:52] And I'm not saying that women cannot do the job. Yes, we can do the job because I did my job being a single mother for a long time with my daughter. That is very, is very hard to, to deal with that. It's very hard to continue life alone. She's a survivor do. She's a, a domestic abuse survivor mindset, coach and podcaster that the podcast name is let's break the silence with Angeline.

[00:07:21] So let's bring her in and let's welcome. Angeline consulting to own breakable life with glory. Hi Angeline. Hi Gloria. Good morning and happy birthday to you. Thank you so much. Thank you so much. It's an honor to have my birthday with you today. I know. And it's so I'm so honored to be here on your show actually for the second time.

[00:07:45] For the second, second time. Second time. Well, before we start, let's say hi to Ali McDonald. Hi Ali. How are you? She said nothing is like, is today for single parents? Yes, they are very, it is very hard to be a single parent. And I know Angeline, you don't know that because I don't, you don't have kids, but yes, it's hard.

[00:08:08] Yeah. I don't have children. Yeah. I don't have children, but that's okay. Because it just wasn't meant to be exactly. There's there's the way it is. So Angeline, before we start our show about our deep conversation, about a lot of good stuff. Sure. Can you tell everybody where are you and what time is now?

[00:08:30] And then after that, can you tell us who is Angeline? Sure. Okay. Good morning everyone. So I am in Saratoga Springs, New York, and the time right now is 11:08 AM. And it is a beautiful sunny July 4th day dressed in bread and . And so I'm, you know, feeling festive. Yes. And who is Angeline? Yes. Who is Angeline?

[00:08:55] So Angeline is I'm evolving. Okay. So I know that some of, you know, my story here, but for those of you who are gonna be watching the replay today, my name is Angeline constant and I live in Saratoga Springs, New York, and I am a 12 year survivor of domestic abuse. So make a long story. Short, 13 years ago, I found myself in a very bad place.

[00:09:24] I had lost monies. Um, I had lost my corporate job at the time. um, I did not know anything about the online space. And I was just feeling just like down lack of self worth, just feeling down. And I was not sure the path that I wanted to take, but I know one thing I wanted to get divorced because there was so much verbal abuse and physical abuse that was heaped on me.

[00:09:52] And, you know, I was married to, I thought was gonna be the love of my life. And he, you know, worked in New York city. I worked at his, advertising business. We made six figure income and people thought that we were the Hollywood couple, but that wasn't the case. There was a lot of physical abuse, emotional abuse, financial abuse.

[00:10:13] And I found myself $40,000 in the hole and I decided to file for divorce. So when a person is down like that, like myself, The only way I could go was up. And there were a lot of obstacles that I had to overcome. I had to work on my mindset. I had to work on my own. I worked on myself. I worked on myself and this is the point that I want to stress, especially for divorced women and single moms up out there.

[00:10:48] The biggest mistake that you will make, that, that maybe some of you have made is going out on a date with someone, meaning trying to find a new relationship. You have to love yourself. You have to work on yourself. And here I am 12 years single later, and I'm happy. I feel I'm, you know, I'm a much happier person, but even a year later, Breakthroughs happened for me.

[00:11:17] And I was involved in, you know, a network marketing bus, you know, a, a health and wellness company that really changed my life. And I started to surround myself with leaders. People were on higher level than me and I knew, you know, that, um, that was a huge transformation for me because before I was giving too much of myself and not feeding myself and you can't pour from an empty cup, there's no way that you can pour from an empty cup.

[00:11:47] So I worked on myself, I took courses. I invested in myself and personal development. I've hired, I've had mentors, I've invested thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars ventureship but it's paying off. Um, you know, it's paid off for me. And like I said, I've gone through struggles financially. You know, like I'll be way up here and then crash again, then way up here, again, crash.

[00:12:15] But you have to be willing to ride the wave, right. And find a clear path because there's a lot of women out there who don't know what their path, they don't know what their true quality is. And that's where I come in to help them to help them find a clear path for themselves, rediscover themselves. Oh, this is who I really am and start to move into ownership of their lives because that's exactly what I did.

[00:12:45] And trust me, I have reinvented myself many times that I went through a personal transformation, um, 30 days ago. So we will talk about that later, but I went through a personal transformation myself. So, you know, I'm ready to 10 X my life again. I'm ready to 10 X my life, but more importantly for women, I don't wanna, you know, like I have a passion for women finding their voice.

[00:13:13] And that is one of the reasons I started my podcast two and a half years ago was to break the silence on domestic abuse and to have a platform for women to tell their stories of how they are thriving after domestic abuse and domestic violence. Wow. So let's go back a little bit there cause I, I, I, I'm more interested in, in your, in your, in your experience.

[00:13:41] So, you know, when you decide to go for divorce and in your case, It's because you want the divorce, correct. In your case, it's because you want a divorce. Some women, the, the, the divorce is a surprise for them. And I think in that way, it's more difficult for women to accept, to get divorced that are women that they say, okay, I wanna get divorce.

[00:14:08] I agree with you. Totally agree with you. I wanted it. But for, so for you, what? So can, no, I'm not saying easy. It's not easy. Listen. That was a decision. That was a hard decision that I made because I, you know, I just, I, I spent so much time trying to save the marriage and it wasn't working. And I realized that he wasn't going to change.

[00:14:37] So I just said, that's it. I drew a line in the sand surrendered by private ego. And I wrote out a check to my attorney for $5,000. To start proceedings. So you think that was easy? No but for a woman who is not expecting it, now I have a little story to share with you. So, um, I belong, you know, to different Facebook groups and because I wanna help, I wanna, you know, be, I wanna, you know, be of service to women who are going through the divorce, right?

[00:15:08] So this woman, she wrote a little bit of a story and she said that she was married for 13 years and her soon to be ex filed for divorce, like two weeks ago. And she found out that he was cheating on her. Not only did he cheat on her, he's had a partner for several years. She had no knowledge of it whatsoever.

[00:15:38] And. He started a family. I would say that that experience, that experience for a woman, is it destroy mentally emotional woman like that? It would destroy her for a long time. Exactly. Oh, it would destroy her mentally, emotionally for a long time. And it's like, I can't imagine that. I can't imagine that either.

[00:16:10] Now, in my case I wanted a divorce. Right. I wanted to free myself, but there are a lot of women who feel stuck. Yes. They don't know what to do. They feel overwhelmed. They feel anxious. They feel like depressed. All these emotions are running through all these emotions are running through. Angeline. Can you gimme a minute?

[00:16:33] Cuz they're doing a lot of noise outside and sure. And I cannot hear you very well. One second please. No problem.

[00:16:44] Well, I, I hope that you're all having a great July 4th and Gloria will be right back. Okay.

[00:17:00] I'm sorry. It's too much noise. And I was kind of distracted with that. Sorry for everybody who's watching right now, but is what it is.

[00:17:17] So going back, what you saying? Okay. So a lot of women, especially women who are going through a divorce. A life changing event, they feel lost. Yes. They feel overwhelmed. Yes. They feel anxious. They feel depressed. And they're like, uh, and they're unclear about the path that they want to take. They don't know what to do.

[00:17:44] They don't know what to do, especially like, um, for women who I found, because I've been studying, studying, you know, the, um, what would you say? How, you know, a divorce woman goes through a divorce. It's not easy for them, especially if they don't want it, it's even more difficult. Do they say, I wanna go out and date?

[00:18:04] I'm like, oh no, no, no. That's not what you're supposed to do. but they feel empty inside. It feels, it feels like, okay, they give you this news that they want to divorce you. And then you just like, uh, trying to go through that. I don't think you have a space emotional space for, to to date, like to go to, to, you know, to find someone else, like I'm going through a divorce right now.

[00:18:37] And I, I can't imagine me right now going through something or dating someone right now. Like for example, right. Because I'm processing like, it's, it's, like you said, in the beginning, you have to process this and, and, and love yourself first and recuperate yourself, your self esteem and everything about you.

[00:19:02] Then you gonna be open to say, okay, I'm ready to, to date or to find, or to, to find someone, but also at the same time, I'm not close. I'm not close to love. I'm, you know, my heart is open for love, but I'm also not looking for that. I'm not looking and rushing in to see what kind of relation I'm gonna get, because I'm feel empty and alone.

[00:19:25] Right. And I, and I think when you feel empty and alone, it's when you need to work more like why you feel empty? Why you feel alone when you are with yourself. That's, that's the key. That is the key. Absolutely. Absolutely. But you know what, when, like when you're alone, it forces you to look inward. Yes. Yeah.

[00:19:47] It forces you to look inward and that's what I've done. And Gloria, I've seen so much growth for you, by the way, so much growth and you, I can see you're happier, you know, you're in a much better place. And I know that going through a divorce for you is not easy. Now. I was married for 23 years, so that was half of my adult life.

[00:20:08] Yes. I was 48 when, you know, the divorce became final. But I would say the last two years of my marriage, we were separated like emotionally. Like I was like gone. Like I was already, you know, um, finding, finding a path, finding a way for me to move forward because I had to stand up on my own two feet and support myself.

[00:20:34] Right. Yeah. And, and you know what, at the age, at the age we have like, okay, we are not old to, to start anything. I am a hundred percent convinced of that, but also we already consume half of our, our, our lives with them. And, and now it's like, you need to reinvent yourself again. you need to feel teenager again to be yeah.

[00:21:01] Reinvent yourself again, ladies. Yeah. You gotta get in that, you know, positive mindset. I do a lot of mindset work, so it's getting in those high vibrations doing, first of all, I journal every single morning I still do to this day. So ladies, if you can buy a Jo little journal and or if you have a journal already journal at least five things that you were grateful for, get yourself in that gratitude mindset.

[00:21:34] That is so important. And I, I know I harp on that a lot, but that is so important. Like don't get up in the morning and look at your phone. Exactly. That's the worst. That's the worst, the worst. Check your email, do this because it's going to put you in a negative mindset because you may read something that bothered you.

[00:21:54] Maybe you exit something. If he's on social media soon, block it, block it. You need to block all that. Very block it, block it from your reality on you focus on yourself. Exactly. And I know a divorce women, like when you're they just going through divorce? They always like, like we talk in private, like it's just a little tiny window of hope than when the ex-husband, uh, say something nicer.

[00:22:25] You think that little window opens like this and you think it's like, oh, things are gonna get better or, or something's gonna happen better. But then later two days, three late days later, boom, you can see again why you are getting divorced. Oh, yeah, they're very good at that. Like, things will be good for two weeks now with now, now with my experience, things were like good for a week or two, and then crashed again.

[00:22:53] In fact, I stopped keeping track of how many times I called the police, the New York state police, you know, they would come to the house, he did something, he threw something or he tried to spit, you know, like he tried. And then I had my phone with me at that time at all times. Wow. And I was the one who had to leave.

[00:23:18] This is not the way to leave. If you get to that point with someone it's not because the older person is bad and I want you, I wanna say this. There's all kind of people out there, but maybe that person is not for you anymore. That person don't love you anymore. Right? So when you don't love someone and you living ion with someone, of course, you gonna act with the dark side of you, cuz everybody have the light in the dark side.

[00:23:43] Sure. And everybody's good and everybody's bad. But you know, when you are in a relationship that you don't wanna be in and you need to, and you need to do stuff because you have to be in the relationship, your dark shadows, your dark side is gonna come out. Exactly. And then you, and then you're gonna say, oh, oh, this person is this.

[00:24:00] Or this person is a narcissist or this person is, is terrible. Or this person is very toxic. No, it's not the person. It's the situation because the, the two person they don't wanna be together anymore. And that's why it's like the, the, exactly the conflict. That's where the conflict is. Exactly. Exactly. But I was the person who had to leave.

[00:24:23] So, you know, like some of them, they, this is, um, called love, bombing where all of a sudden, you know, hugs and kisses, oh, everything is right. Gonna be okay, we're gonna work things out, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Nope. That the next thing you know, they're gas lighting you. Right? Can you, can you give an, an explanation or gas lighting so people know that, okay.

[00:24:47] So gas lighting means when you say something and then they ignore you. Okay. And they, they try to make you feel bad. It's like a form of control and they try to make you feel bad. And if you send a text and they respond when whatever they want, when, you know, when you know the phone is always right here.

[00:25:11] Exactly. And when they don't respond. I unfortunately, I had fallen into that trap. This is before I fell for my divorce. I mean, I would basically be like really upset. I said, why is he adoring me? What is wrong with them? You know? And they try to make you the, the villain, the crazy one, the crazy one. They try to make you the crazy one.

[00:25:35] And sometimes, you know, like with some women, they just don't know how to handle it. So what I did was when I was going through through therapy, I went into the other room or I went out for a walk just to clear my head and go to the park. And just, and at that time I wasn't living here. I was living, you know, an hour and a half from here and Reinbeck, so I would like jump with the car and go.

[00:25:59] I would go to a coffee shop. I would go to the park and, you know, just, and then when I went home that night, I just ignored him. I just said, you know what, forget it. it not work? And it's, it's so hard, you know why it's so hard because we get so attached. We attach, we just like pasted to whatever. Um, I would say life, we had, so sometimes us as a woman don't wanna live that life because they are comfortable or fear.

[00:26:32] They don't know what to do if they leave that life, how they gonna support their lives or how they gonna support their children. And when they're young or like, like they have young children and it's like so terrible. Going through divorce for a lot of women. And of course, for a lot of men, but we cannot speak for men because we are not, we are not, we are not men.

[00:26:55] We are speaking here like as a women. Right. Because I see a lot of women of friends of mine that are going through divorce. Some they are very easy. They recuperate easy. Some they long it more, the longer is more longer. The, the, like the, to move on and other ones, it take forever to move on. Oh, they never in some, they never move on, especially if they have children.

[00:27:21] Exactly. Yeah. They have to co-parent now some couples do a great job, you know, they will co-parent until, you know, the child reaches 18, but that's hard still. Of course. Wow. That is so hard. I don't know how, how they can in, in my case, I don't have as small kids. Right. But I, we have a dog, but even the dog was hard.

[00:27:47] Like, I, I, I even have to say to him, you need to stay with the dog. I cannot, I cannot see you. Yeah. I cannot see you. And it's not because I, I hate him. I don't hate him. I love him. But when you love somebody, when you really love someone, you need to let it go. Exactly. Completely, completely, completely. And mine was toxic love.

[00:28:14] See, it was toxic love that I had to let go. Uh, and I did. And once I took ownership of that, then you know, my life started to move forward. And the next thing, you know, one year later, the divorce papers were signed and we didn't have children. So that turned into a blessing, right. That was a blessing. But Ima like you imagine like we, you and me, we, we, we going through divorce, but you went through divorce.

[00:28:42] I'm going through divorce. Yeah. I can't imagine how emotional women can feel so bad when they had the kids and they know that the guy left with another women or they have another family outside and you need to inter interact, interact with this person, regardless, even with all the, because you, you have hate like you, you hate, you would hate him to oh yeah.

[00:29:10] Because he did that or, or who he was doing that behind you. There's a lot of emotional baggage. So a lot of emotional things are going through and on top of that, they have to deal with the, with the kids I'm telling you, lemme tell you that takes a lot of toll for women mentally does mentally. Sure does.

[00:29:31] That takes a huge toll. But you know what you have to do, just, you know, just work on yourself. That's the first thing, just work on yourself. And you know, if this person has a girlfriend or they're gonna get married, I mean, I actually have read some cases where like the, the ex and the student and the person who that guy is dating.

[00:30:01] Like they actually get along. I dunno how, but maybe it's because they reached an agreement that they were just gonna be mature adult. I mean, we're all mature adults, but is, but for divorce, you know, a woman who was going through divorce, or even after divorce, it's hard, it's hard, but that's the, that's the time when they have to take control of their life.

[00:30:26] That's the first thing to take ownership. And to rediscover themselves, you know, what lights you up? What is your true passion in life? You know, get yourself in that mindset. In that high vibrational mindset, there are resources. Okay. There are other support groups that you can join. Get out of the house, go for a meditative walk.

[00:30:50] I did a lot of meditative walks on the park, me too. And I still Don, I, I still do. I, I swim a lot. I swim a lot. right. There you go. There you go. You know, and when you do that, it takes your mind off that. Yes. And start to get yourself involved in like a dance club or whatever you like to do. Like, I was involved in a yoga dance group for one year, for a little over a year, you know, just, and that, that was like a form of self-expression.

[00:31:22] That was just my way of healing, but it is, it is a journey. Okay. It's a journey of healing. And instead of saying, oh, this sucks, embrace it. Exactly. It's a process, a long process from some are shorter for some are longer, but it's a process you're gonna cry. You're gonna miss. You're gonna, you're gonna regret.

[00:31:45] You're gonna feel guilty. You're gonna feel all kind emotions. And, and it, it's fine to feel all that kind of stuff. But the difference is you cannot stay there longer because what you do when is you're losing your time. And sometimes we, because I'm very spiritual and I believe everything happens for a reason.

[00:32:05] And when, when you divorce someone or, or for any reason, for any reason, it's because the life is telling you that you cannot don't belong anymore to that person in this moment. Right. It's time for, to go in another direction. And maybe you will find the love for your life later on, or maybe things can happen, you know, a lot, you know, how many things that we can hear, like they get divorced, they separate for five, six years.

[00:32:32] And then later on, they come back, that happens to a friend of mine. They pray for three years divorce and everything. Yeah. And, and three years later he was completely different. And today they are together. Like that could happen that I've seen that happen well, because you know why they, they want on a path of re discovery.

[00:32:52] Exactly. They rediscovered who they truly are. And I admire those people who do that. That doesn't happen in a lot of cases, but no I've seen it happen. Like I actually was on a zoom one time. With a nice lady. She's a very good friend of mine. And her ex was sitting next to her. I was like, wow. Yeah, yeah.

[00:33:19] They're not married anymore. But they stayed friends. Now there are cases where they were married now. Some like go to church or they have founded through, you know, spiritual healing, um, you know, counseling and they're able to put their marriage back together and it's better than ever. They get remarried and it's better than ever.

[00:33:41] Yeah. But also when you go to counseling with the, with your, with your husband or your ex-husband or whatever, well, and when you go to constantly with your husband and you guys are looking into getting divorced, if the men, if the men don't want real change, it would not happen. That's true because Mo mostly women, mostly women, we are open to change and do anything to, to, to conserve the marriage, to be able to have a husband, a marriage.

[00:34:13] But when the husband is not into that, forget about you're losing your time. Exactly. You're wast. That's what happened to me. I was wasting my time because we went for counseling together and I said, that's it, that's it. Because I knew that I could live on my own and pay my own bills. Okay. It was a struggle for a while, but once I was able to overcome those adversities and struggles, that's a, that's a key too.

[00:34:42] That's a key two because a lot of women are afraid for that. Cuz they don't know how to support themselves because they've been supported by their husband or her lives. Right. Or they have one bank account. We had two bank accounts. So fortunately I had my own separate account. But they rely on the husbands too much financially.

[00:35:02] And guess what happens? They end up in debt. But also there are some husbands too, that they said, you don't need to work. You. I want you to stay at home with the kids, raising the kids. And when they get divorced, men forget about that. That, that contract that is not sign. There's not sign, but it says, I want you to stay at home to help to raise the kids.

[00:35:25] That's what women, other women that do. So when they get divorced or they find, I know the women, why they forget about, about what they said. Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. I'll take care of the finances. I'll take care of everything. And then the next thing you know, they're broke the broke. And the women and the woman did her job taking care of the kids.

[00:35:48] Right. She's in a situation that she's getting divorced, she don't know to work or, or, or, or she have a long time that she don't work. So for her to restart her life, to being going to work is hard because she, she, she lost it. She lost the train of working. Right. Exactly, exactly. Unbelievable. Right. So that's why I, I recommend women that to, to have something, an income, a small income, always, always, always even their, if they are with someone never, never relate too much in the older person.

[00:36:28] Now, that's what I did. So when I filed for divorce, I got involved with a health and wellness company because I was always PA and I'm, I still am to this day, I'm still passionate about health and wellness. You can start your own business. It doesn't cost that much money invest in yourself. I, you know, instead of saying, oh, I'm broke.

[00:36:54] Say, you know what, I'm growing and evolving and I'm gonna do something for myself. It could be starting a business. If you love pottery, you could do an online pottery class. Do you know what I mean? Just, but if you like health and wellness and you wanna build a solid income for yourself, there's network marketing.

[00:37:13] And if you would like myself, I started my own coaching business and you know, my coaching business has evolved because I want to help divorce women. And this is your passion, right? This is my passion is to help them get out of that, you know, victim mode mindset that they're. And helping them to find a clear path for themselves so they can move into ownership of their life.

[00:37:44] They could be thriving, they could be standing on their own two feet. And like I said, it it's a process. It's my program is 90 days. So it's three months. It's a process that you're not going to resolve everything in one coaching session. yeah, nothing, nothing resolves in, in just what? No, if you want complete transformation and healing, that's when you have to invest in yourself.

[00:38:12] Okay. And I did it. I, I did, I I'm doing it too. you're doing it too. You're investing in yourself and you've made great strides. You've done so much. I mean, you've accomplished so much Gloria. Be proud of yourself. Be proud of yourself. You know, you have beautiful grandson, you have your daughter, that's your whole world, right there, exactly impact your podcast, which is, you know, changing people's lives and impacting a lot of women.

[00:38:47] So talk and I love the title of your podcast, unbreakable life with Gloria. That's amazing. You know, so you've, so you're on your way. You're well, on your way but for other women, , I, I, we're always learning. We're always growing. We're always evolving. I know, but you know, like, I, I, I, I, like, I discover a lot about myself going through all many years.

[00:39:14] I'm I'm 50 years old today. So I, I go back and say, I go, I go back and say, wow, I done a lot of stuff. Or some stuff is still in me. Like some stuff are more arts. You know doesn't mean because I go, I go through that doesn't mean, yes, I got experience. Yes. I know how to deal with life, but doesn't mean it, it is easier, right?

[00:39:38] Sometimes it's harder because you already have a, a wound and sometimes that wound opens and close opens and close. So it, it, it is, it is, it's not easy. Even if even I achieve a lot of stuff, it doesn't mean it's easier for me. It's it's right. It it's the same harder that like another woman goes through divorce.

[00:40:00] I cry. I, I cry. I moan, I, I, I feel guilty. I feel all kind of emotions about separation divorce. And I have the other day a conversation with one friend of mine that she was crying a lot. She was getting divorced too after 19 years. Wow. And she was crying a lot. And I said, I, I'm not gonna say to you. Don't cry, cry all you want because it's, it's it.

[00:40:25] You cannot describe. Uh, how each person can feel when somebody say to you, they want a divorce or they, or you get a divorce, right. And, and this subject, we don't touch it too much because we probably go and touch a very personal, personal stop. But if we don't touch it, we don't talk about it. How the women will feel empowered to say, wow, I'm not the only one who going through this.

[00:40:52] I'm not the only who cries a lot after divorce. I'm not the only one who feel guilty or I'm not the only one who say why I didn't try this way. So I will save my marriage. There's all these things that we are talking right now. There's a lot of women going through that. Sure, absolutely. Absolutely. While I take women through their journey, I work with them one on one.

[00:41:17] We have live zoom calls every single week. Um, I take them through nine steps to, you know, help them. Rediscover themselves and move into ownership of their life. You know, there's gonna be a lot of journaling. There's gonna be a lot of meditation meditations to help them relax and to help them get into that right mindset.

[00:41:42] So I just take them. I mean, they're the program that I recreated

[00:41:50] is a stepping stone for what I had before, but still it's the same. It falls along, you know, the same line. So I line, so I take them, you know, through the, I work with them one on one, I don't use the cookie cutter approach that some coaches do, you know, this is a journey of transformation healing. That's what I mean.

[00:42:14] If a divorced woman really wants to heal, they have to and have a complete transformation. They have to invest in themselves. Yes. They have to want it. I can't do it for them. Correct, but they have to be willing to put in work so well, um, you know, I'm, I'm starting to be a coach and you tell me I know, I know.

[00:42:39] And one of my sessions are gonna make that women or, or a men to cry a lot. you need to cry, baby cry, cry, cry. And you don't what that's okay. There's gonna be a lot of crying. There's gonna be a lot of this. Yes. And you know, I've, you know, I've experienced that with the one of my clients. I mean, she was crying, it happens, but you're in a safe space.

[00:43:01] And I also have a private Facebook group too. So it's a safe community. It's a support system. I have resources in there. So, um, the name of my Facebook group is called let's break the silence. And actually, you know what, let me go.

[00:43:24] It's called let's break the silence it's searchable. So there you go. That's it. That's my Facebook group. So I have resources in there. I do lives once a week, you know, to provide value and to provide help. I do, um, a three day challenge, which I am going to restart in, um, probably August. So I'm taking this month off so I can, you know, right.

[00:43:52] Get everything together, but there's gonna be a lot of new, a lot of great things, you know, Angeline, I, I, I admire you a lot because you, you try everything. you, you, you try everything. You improve yourself all the time. And not too long ago, you have a, a big loss of money. And I hear, and you said like, you know, It's what it is and you continue and you're not like, uh, letting, letting that money that you lose make you, you might your life miserable.

[00:44:26] And, and I probably, a lot of people will lost their head if they lose money, like you did. Like, I am, I lost a lot of money. I lost a lot of money in a movie project that did not come to fruition because, and I know the reason why I can't really discuss it here. Right? No, but, um, we've talked about it, you know, privately, but it didn't come to fruition and guess what it wasn't meant to be exactly.

[00:44:55] I would've had to work for warning until night in order to get this project funded. And it was a high budget film, and I decided, you know what, I'm gonna take a step back. So last week I resigned as the producer. And I bought the idea. I invested money, you know, just, it, it was just a huge investment that did not pan out.

[00:45:22] And guess what? That's okay. And actually, I mean, back in January, February, March, I was struggling personally. I was, you know, going through a lot, you know, like no one likes to lose money, nobody, you know? And, um, I lost some other monies in, in, in investments that didn't pan out. And guess what? The only I took ownership.

[00:45:48] So one month ago, little over a month ago, I was on YouTube searching for something. So I saw a video that Dean OSIS. Was doing about, they have a Facebook group called mastermind.com with Tony Robbins. So it's like a step up for the ultimate Tony Robbins. And I studied Tony Robbins, I would say probably 11 years.

[00:46:16] Okay. So big, long story, short, something that was a pivot epiphany. I said, let me go watch this and check this out. I joined the group and the group has changed my life. And I built my coaching course in 30 days and I launched it. It's live. And, um, you know, a lot of people are interested. They want, they want transformation.

[00:46:47] Okay. This is not a cookie cutter approach where I'm gonna charge $100 for a session. It doesn't work that way. It doesn't work that way. This is three months and I have a vehicle commitment. Right. This is a three month commitment, but I can tell you, I will work with you as long as you are willing to put in the work for transformation.

[00:47:15] I'll teach you all that. I also give you a free workbook. Okay. Because that's important. Does, you know, we do manifestations, this it's just the whole nine yards. You know, we do manifestations, we do exercises and just be prepared and be prepared for the ride of your life.

[00:47:39] and I know like at a Ali McDonald who is here, she, um, was in one of my free VIP coaching sessions that I do. Okay. And she experienced a transformation just in one coaching session. Okay. She experienced transformation and she's gone through a lot in her life. So, um, But I'm here for, you know, I'm here for the ladies.

[00:48:05] Um, people can, the ladies can join my Facebook group it's for women only. So no men. Um, so it's, let's break the silence and if people, and here's what I normally do, I always like to book a call with the ladies to see if we're a good fit to work together right after that. So they could go to my website, which is let's break the silence.com.

[00:48:31] Now, hold on. Let's break the silence. Yeah. Dot com. Correct. So what they, what they need to do right there when they, they contact you. Okay. So when they contact me and they're on my website, okay. Let's break the silence.com. They will see upper right hand corner book down. It goes straight to my call, link book, a call with me, and we will spend 45 minutes.

[00:48:59] And this is free and this is free. This is free, correct? Correct. So for you to know if they fit, correct, if we're a good fit, then we go to the next step. That's awesome. Yeah. That's simple. That is it's that Simple's a lot, it's a lot, um, topic to talk about divorces and separation emotions. Yeah. Uh, that, that we, women goes through and, and there's a lot of women out there that they, like you said, in the beginning, they're stuck in relationships that they don't know how to get out.

[00:49:41] Even they wanted, even, even they want it. And, and it's like they going through the Escom syndrome. Escom syndrome is like, they. they stay in, in a toxic relationship. And because they, there is convenience for them to stay there. So they love the person, no matter how they treat them. And they're, and they're like, okay, I'm here in this relationship.

[00:50:06] I have no hope. And this is the only way I'm I can do it. Mm-hmm so that's like syndrome and also a lot of women and men also they're they're out to up in relationships. Mm they are. So there's, there's a, there's a lot of stuff going on right now with people getting divorces. And there's, this is the, I think this is the most I hear on, on, on this planet that a lot of people getting divorced.

[00:50:35] And also I hear that a lot of people want us to be, wants to be in a relationship. And some people, they say they want to be alone forever. Uh, I don't know that part, but I don't. I'm not gonna be alone forever. That's for oh no. And actually be too. And I don't feel alone because I have a strong support group.

[00:50:54] And that's important for women. Yes. To have a strong support group. That's, you know, that have your back, no matter what they have your back. So that's really, really important. So we have, we have 51 minutes to go we already, we already have. Wow. That's great. That's awesome. Yeah. 51 minutes. Uh, what you would, what would you say?

[00:51:20] Oh, before we, we go and say bye-bye, do you encounter depression or anxiety going to your marriage? I did. Yes. And how you overcome those, how you overcome, for example, the depression. I remember when I was going through depression, um, I was taking some medication. and well, because you know, sometimes you have to take medication.

[00:51:49] Right. But then that's the part. When I started to get myself involved in this health and wellness company, I was able to pull myself back up and, you know, I would go out for walks. I would exercise twice a day and I'm gonna be getting back into, you know, working out twice a day now. Um, how was, how was your symptoms of your depression?

[00:52:12] How was your symptoms? What exactly do you feel that, you know, you was going into depression? Oh, crying. A lot of crying. Like I would be crying and then I would be happy. So it'd be happy, sad, happy, sad, happy, sad. Yes. But it was the grief that I was going through little. Did I realize, I mean, I realized that I was in a toxic marriage and I didn't feel like doing anything.

[00:52:39] I mean, yes, I did take a shower and everything. But I didn't go out. I wasn't doing a lot of things that I was really passionate about, but I was able to pick myself back up. I went for counseling and that helped me. So as you know, when I started to go out by myself and like go to a nice restaurant and have dinner, you know, what a dining alone can be very ful and a very good friend of mine called me.

[00:53:06] I called her. I said, you know what? I'm in this restaurant by myself. And it's, it was a big adjustment for me because I was accustomed to going out with him all the time. So, but she said, you know what? Dining alone could be very tranquil. So I enjoyed it. I was in a state of bliss. Then after dinner, I would take a stroll in town and just walk around.

[00:53:30] And then I started to meet people, see, meet people, get that support system. But I was able to pull myself out because that's norm, I think that's. That happens a lot. These days, I'd be one out of two marriages and then divorce. Yes. Yes. Half, half is half and every, every minute, every minute. So as soon as I got myself, I beat, you know, I met people online.

[00:53:57] I met, you know, some mentors who that's, when I started to do my personal development, listened to Tony Robbins, Les brown. I'm a huge fan of Les brown. So how, how, how do you remove yourself from the pills that you was taking for the depression? They weed me off it. So close to the end of my divorce. They weed me off it.

[00:54:20] I was taking Klonopin. So I was taking like two tablets a day, one in the morning and one in the evening mm-hmm but then it was only one a day and then half a pill. And then zero. That was fine. In, in anxiety. Do you still have anxiety or, or, or, or, or, or not too much or, or not too much? No, no, no, no, no. It may come, but then it goes and I just, um, it, it is normal.

[00:54:48] It's normal. It's more manageable. Yeah. It's more manageable, but no depression or anything, nothing like that. I feel very, very grateful. In fact, there are ladies women, you know, like I, I like to write a lot. So, you know, like when I write my content, it speaks to them and they thank me. Some of them will send me private messages or they're actually tagged me in a post, you know?

[00:55:16] Right. She, you know, like, thank you for. I might get emotional, but thank you for being the beacon of light in this dark world that we live in today. Cuz there's so much going on today. Oh yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I just pray every single day, every morning, but you know what? You woke up today and God gave you a purpose.

[00:55:41] God gives you a plan and a purpose for your life. So capitalize on that, you know, work on yourself. Love yourself. The biggest thing is to love yourself, love yourself so you can love others and take ownership. Just step out of that victim mindset. I just took ownership. So, you know, I am looking forward to taking these ladies.

[00:56:13] Who would love to, you know, I would love to have, you know, I'm looking for, you know, three women to join my coaching program and, you know, to, and I will provide that support. I will provide that support to them guarantee. No doubt about it. So, so well, let's see what happens. Yeah. And, and, and, and we keep going in life and, um, and I know you for sure.

[00:56:41] You're gonna help a lot of women because you do have, you have that to help other women you're strong and you're, you're, you're a super human . Yeah. Superwoman. That's why I came up with super women. we're super women. We are always comers. Oh, big time. Huge, big time. Big time, big time. So before we go, any last word or sentence that you wanna say to my audience, the people women are going through divorce and going through depression and going through a anxious mode.

[00:57:19] What do you say to them today? What I say to them today is first of all, it's okay. Not to be okay. So don't expect things to be, you know, like this could be a very hard day for you today, but do something that lights you up, do something for yourself. You've poured enough energy into that toxic marriage, especially if there's, you know, domestic violence, domestic abuse, or trauma involved more, I would say domestic violence pour into you, pour into yourself and make yourself.

[00:58:05] Number one priority. So go for a walk, go have an ice cream cone, do something, do something that lights you up. Go for meditative walks, focus on yourself, focus on yourself and you know, read books. Um, I have a three books that have changed my life and, um, they are on my website as well. Let's break the silence.com.

[00:58:33] So you could go ahead and order those books. It's on page two under the about section, and please book a call with me. Awesome. Please book a call with me. I would love to meet you and help you. Of course, that's awesome. Okay, Angeline, thank you so much to be an unbreakable life with glory, the podcast where we talk about the depression inside PTSD, the natural way and a holistic way to always make you feel better.

[00:59:02] And thank you so much to be here today. Oh, you're welcome. You're welcome. Gloria. Happy birthday to you. Welcome to the club. Welcome to the club. Enjoy every minute of your birthday. And it was a pleasure being on your show today. I thank you so much, really enjoyed it, and I hope that this line will help many women.

[00:59:21] I hope too. All right, so I'm gonna put you in the green room. I'm gonna close the, the, the show. And if you can wait for me, it will be fantastic. All right, thank you. Go ahead. See you.

[00:59:34] Well, this was a, an amazing, amazing episode. It was a special episode. I didn't have a plan and a special today. My birthday. I said, you know what? This is my birthday present. Um, to be able to do a podcast, one of the things that. Love the most to do is to hear the stories about people who's going through different moments and, and, and, and to hear what they do, how they do it, because that's the only way we gonna help each other.

[01:00:04] Just talking about all this subjects that are so important that long time ago, we have it under the rock. We don't talk about depression. We don't talk about anxiety. We don't talk about divorce. We don't talk about, you know, all this kinda emotional stuff that we was not used to to talk about. Now. I'm so glad there's a lot of people more and more and more talking about it, because it's important to talk about this.

[01:00:32] I'm also a survivor. I'm a survivor. I'm a mother. I I've been in through a lot of situation too. Uh, this is not my, my. My only divorce that I have in my life, but, you know, I've been divorced before, but some divorces are completely different. And that's why I wanted to bring today a, this, this topic because people think that divorce is the same for everybody.

[01:00:57] And it's not the same for everybody because it, it feels the same. It feels the same. It depends the person that you was with. Eh, what exactly do you live with the, the members that you live with that person? So it's completely different. What you feel when you get divorced. And I've been divorced like, uh, other couple times before.

[01:01:20] So it is, it's completely different and, and this, this divorce is being more harder than the other ones. And I will say. Why sometimes I ask my question and then, and then I said, okay, I know because I leave more, more deep staff with this person. That's why it's getting me more longer to, to move on. And also the attachments that, that we create to, to relationships that we know that are not good for us.

[01:01:50] You can love that person a lot, but you know, at the end you cannot live with that person because it doesn't meant to be with you a long time ago. When women say to me, remember that a dolphin and, um, and a bird cannot be together. And, and, and I said to her, and I said like, why she, why she say that? And then later on, I realized that like, sometimes we, we, people are so completely different.

[01:02:18] We grow sometimes even being together, we grow differently and sometimes we go in different ways and then you don't under understand each other and. Like, it's like the art of love. Like some people love differently and sometimes the way you love someone is not the way the other person like you to love that person.

[01:02:42] It's like the language of the love. So anyway, all this kind of experience help us to move on, to grow up, to be better. And if you need to cry, cry, if you need to mourn mourn, if you, if you feel guilty, if you feel, oh, this kind of emotions that comes with their divorce, I wanna say to you, that is normal, that you not the only person that goes through this, a lot of women and a lot of men today are suffering because they are getting divorced.

[01:03:15] And some people didn't want to get divorced. And some people, they, they find out they was cheating. Some people, they find out stuff that they didn't know. So when you find out stuff that you didn't know what exactly that tells you. That tells you that that person was never for you. And also that tells you to move on that, that help you to teach you to next time, to be more aware of what you want in life.

[01:03:45] And to be able to be like that way, you need to study yourself and know yourself, your value and see what exactly you want. What exactly is your needs, what exactly you would like to have in a relationship. Do you wanna have a person that is your best friend, that you can talk to that person forever, or you just wanna a partner just to be there to just to be next to you.

[01:04:13] And I'm telling you right now that when you have a partner that is just there, that relationship, it would not last because everything in life gets old and you not be able to. Communicate with the person. If you wanna be with somebody just there for you not to feel alone, sometimes it's better to feel alone, to, to be alone and not to be with somebody just to be, because what you, what you're doing is you are not living your life fully.

[01:04:44] And the other person also's not living their life fully. And, and it's, it takes a more at all for the person who is more aware of life. They're aware that when you are a relationship that is not good for you, you're wasting your. And I'm not saying in this discriminatory way to the other presser means you are wasting your own beautiful life, your own real time, because life is too short.

[01:05:09] 25 years ago, I was 25 years old, 25 years ago. [01:06:28] Hug that person. Don't say a word, cuz sometimes when we are in that moments, we don't need anything. We just need a presence and silence for the other person. And just say, I'm here when you wanna be open and probably you can't get the answer back or maybe not. And if you don't get the answer. It's okay.

[01:06:51] Remember that person going into his own journey and each person have their own journey and you have to respect that even it's very, even if it's very painful. All right.
